This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts!
DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome.
131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.

  • I celebrate when I get a great deal! I pull up the product on Amazon to check the retail price and then laugh at the stupid people paying for that price.

    But that's just me....

And to answer, I'd count it as less total money spent.

  • Brought to you by the handbag I just bought for my sister, which I'm afraid may have already been on clearance when she added it to her wish list.

Usually I count it as less total money spent, but I don't want her to know I'm a cheapskate....

I did opt for the "sweet, now I can buy more things for the same money" for my mom this year since she is being so incredibly awesome and helping us out so much.

  • It depends on the person.  Usually, if I get a great deal its "sweet, I don't have to spend as much!"  but sometimes if I have a great idea for another small present or they really deserve to be spoiled it will be "sweet, now I can buy them more stuff!".
