Can you tell me how it went down? I don't know the right board to ask this question on right now. I'm still spotting brown, not red or pink yet, but it's definitely increasing (and has been over the last week). No h/b on the u/s on Monday, but "something" there, possibly a fetal pole of about 2mm. On progesterone now, but still spotting and it's been a lot more since the internal u/s (and didn't go away like it did with my mmc after a couple hours. I'm feeling a little cramping today but it's not really painful at this point. I had a D&C, and have no idea what to expect with a possible m/c.
Did your spotting just increase and then turn slowly into a m/c? Did it just suddenly BE a m/c? I'm carrying around pads with me because I don't want to be caught without them, and am trying *really* hard to just be positive here but all this spotting makes me feel kind of hopeless.
Re: So...for those of you who had spotting before a m/c (poss m/c mentioned)
With my M/C, I spotted brown on a Friday. It went away pretty quickly and I thought I was in the clear. Google told me it was normal. The following Wednesday evening, I began to spot pink, then red, then full blast red within hours.
With this pregnancy, I spotted at 6 weeks, same as last time and I thought for sure it was over. I had no hope. It wasn't.
Unfortunately, only time will tell.
I hope the best for you. ((HUGS))

I am sorry you're dealing with this stress. I hope it all turns out to be that 'early spotting' and your baby is there growing away.
With my miscarriage, it started as pink discharge - just a dot or two. It slowly turned into a trickle, and started to get redder over the next couple of days. I waited not quite a week between the first ultrasound and the 2nd ultrasound (at the ER) during that time, the bleeding became heavier and I started passing clots as well. The miscarriage was confirmed at the ER, and then the next day a follow-up ultrasound showed that the sac had fallen away and was moving towards the cervix. In all, it was maybe a week that I went from a teeny-tiny spot of pink to full-blown active miscarrying. A couple days after that, I passed the sac, the night before my scheduled D&C.
Based on my experience, I would still have some hope if I were in your shoes -- they saw 'something' you said that looked like a fetal pole (I had no fetal pole on my US at 7 weeks), you are spotting brown, and, it sounds like, you are not passing any clots. Like I said, I went from a tiny spot of pink to full-blown miscarriage within a week. So, as stressful as it is, try to think positive thoughts. I am so sorry you are going through this! I will continue to keep you in my Ts&Ps.
Fingers crossed for you!
My MC I spotted very lightly for a few days (brown) then it picked up and turned pink then red then red with clots. They took betas at the ER. Later that night the period-type cramps I had all pregnancy turned very painful. Betas 48 hours later confirmed the MC.
I've got friends and family members that had spotting/bleeding and didn't MC, so spotting/bleeding doesn't necessarily mean a MC.

With my m/c I didn't have any spotting except a few drops at 12 weeks. I found out at our 12 week u/s that the baby stopped growing.
With this pregnancy I had red spotting for almost a week. Not even enough to require a pad but it was enough to scare the crap out of me. So far things are ok. They did an u/s and there is a sac (it was only at 5 weeks so no hb yet either.) I have one repeated in 1 week. The docs thing everything is ok though.
GL to you.... hang in there
I'm so sorry that you're having to go through this!!!!!!! With my mc I was spotting brown pretty much from the beginning. I would go through a few days w/o spotting then it would come back.On a Thursday I had a few spots of red when I tinkled, then that Friday I started spotting again, by 3am Sunday I was in the ER with the heavy bleeding.
I really hope that your LO is ok- lots of T&P's

Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry! I know how terrifying this is for you. ((Big HUGS)). I am still sending tons of T&Ps that there is some other explanation and LO is just fine and growing away in there. You know how to reach me if you need anything. I'm close by.
My first m/c was weird. I started spotting bright red at 5w2d, and was diagnosed with a SCH. I had off and on spotting until 10-ish weeks when the bleeding picked up. Everything still looked good on u/s, except for the bleeding. At 12w4d, I started having measureable contractions and found out that my cervix was short and soft. At this point the bleeding got heavy. 4 days later, I went into full on labor and delivered my babies at the ER while waiting for the OR to be prepped.
With my second loss, I had light dark red spotting for three day and then it got heavier (like a medium period) and I passed the sac.
((Big HUGS)) again. Please, please let me know if you need anything.

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
I'm still keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you and pray that everything is fine. I experienced implementation bleeding (about 5-6 days) and then it tapered off. Around 7ish weeks, I had pink spotting which began after having sex. From there, it changed to brown and then a few days later it changed to bright red. I called my OB and I went for an u/s on a Tuesday. They found the fetal pole & a heartbeat - but the tech said I was barely measuring 5 weeks and the heartbeat was apparently on the slower side.
When the OB called to give me the results, she was still hopeful but said to call back if the bleeding got worse. It started picking up on Wednesday, and by Wednesday evening I was experiencing mild contractions. Thursday morning I could barely get out of bed and was having contractions every 2 minutes or so. I went in for another u/s that afternoon and they confirmed the fetal pole was no longer there. The contractions slowed down that evening and the sac passed on Friday morning.
First, I am sorry to hear what you are going through and I know all too well the anxiety you must be feeling.
A little about my experience with m/c - around Wednesday I started to notice very light brown spotting. By Friday, it was more red in color and by Friday night I started to notice a stringy consistency and all red. By Saturday morning it was full on period like cramps and heavy flow and I m/c that afternoon.
T&P and lots of hugs your way.
With my missed m/c, I had a couple of days of pale pink or pale brown spotting before my first u/s, then darker brown, very light spotting from the time they identified no hb at the first u/s at 8.5 weeks until I finally had a d&c 11 days later.
This pg, I've had 2 rounds of bright red, heavy bleeding at 4 weeks and 8 weeks, plus brown spotting here and there -- way more bleeding than with my pg that didn't work out -- and LO is still ok.
Hang in there, sorry you are having to deal with this.
Sorry I ended up PNRing, I had a work function and didn't get back here until after.
Thanks so much for the stories. I guess I just have to try to stay cautiously optimistic in the meantime. I definitely don't have my hopes up, but I guess all isn't lost yet. I didn't get my beta results today, so hopefully tomorrow I'll get them earlier in the day.
As much as my husband is totally and completely awesome, he just can't relate to this kind of "women's business." I've never actually gone into spontaneous labor ever, so I don't even know what the whole process is (was induced both times with my boys). Again, thanks for all of the stories and support, I read every single post.

I am so so sorry for what you're going through. (((HUGS))) With my MMC, I had brown spotting throughout the pregnancy. At (what I thought was) 10 weeks, the u/s revealed our baby never grew past 6w1d. A few days after my appointment, on a Monday, I started to feel very achey and all around uncomfortable. I knew things weren't right by 5pm. I started spotting pink at work and by dinner time, it was full on cramps. Bright red blood appeared shortly after that. My 11pm, the contractions were happening every few minutes and it was some of the worst pain of my life. Large clots, the size of a prune, starting coming out. One of my best friends is a doctor and advised me to go in the emergency room if I started to feel dizzy or started sweating (drop in blood pressure). Sure enough, at 2am I almost passed out in the restroom. My husband was out of town so I was staying with my parents. My dad rushed me to the ER, where I spent the next 5 hours in the ER on pain meds (thank god). Passed the sac there and most of everything else. I bled quite heavily for another 5 days, finally passing one last large mass by Friday.
Again, I'm so sorry you're going through this. I think this is why it's "women's business" - we are strong enough to endure this and persevere on. Sending you lots of T&P.
