"Baby Fever" doesn't begin to cover my brain right now. It's more like "Baby Obsession."
We can't start trying till next March and every day is a constant struggle not to think about gp all.day.long.
So I thought this could be a fun poll-type thing...
Confessions: what do you do/have you done as a result of your baby fever?
I'll start:
- I read birth stories every day.
- I've already decorated our nursery in my brain (and redecorated it and redecorated it).
- I've calculated due dates from my hypothetical conception date - which I KNOW will not happen. But I can't not.
- I've daydreamed of pregnancy announcements and newborn photo ideas BASED on my hypothetical and extremely unlikely due date.
- I've read the entire weekly symptoms breakdown on TB.
- I stalk TB endlessly <---- who doesn't?!
I've got it bad, you guys.
Who's guilty of the same? What do you confess to?

LOL.
I have done a few of the things on your list, but many of us are not currently TTC.

- I look at my FF app daily too! No idea why. (It hasn't changed, and we can't even TTC yet!) I had a reminder on my calendar for Nov. 3rd to start TTC but I actually had to replace it with an appt I scheduled with my cardiologist. That was super depressing.
- I have researched local birthing centers
We have been married 10 + years but just NoW ttc. I'm already going crazy obcessed with babies all day long. I'm currently trying to stay focused on heAlthy eating , vitamins, and organizing and spring cleaning my house.
@14whitney ((hugs)) I want to tell you it gets easier, but I don't know if it actually is easier or if you just get used to it.
We've been TTC for 3.5 years and I really think that most of the baby obsessing went out the window months 6-9. I figure they'll be enough time for obsessing when I actually get (and stay) pregnant.
TTC #1 since August 2011

PAIF/SAIF Welcome!
I have secret boreds on pinter estate titled Declan Parker and Liliin Elise.
I am reading on TB almost twice a day.
I also plan how I am going to tell everyone about every second.
We don't get to ttc till at least May maybe later. I feel depressed every time I think of it because I can't hold my baby for at least at year and a half.
I haven't started buying stuff yet but I feel that will come soon...
BOTB? Baby obsessed really is more like it. Going to start TTC in January!
It is kind of on the pricy side but we have friends who have an older version of this same stroller in green and it is awesome. It folds differently than any stroller I have used in the past so it is compact enough to fit in the trunk which is great. I really love the blue one.

When my husband's cousin was in the hospital, I made us take a little detour by the nursery.
When I made a diaper cake for a friend's baby shower, I had extra diapers and receiving blankets. I should have given the extra stuff to my friend, but I instead kept them in a box for "later."
* I have a stash of 6-9 month old onesies in my back room ( future nursery) closet..
* my mom gave me some of my old child hood hair bows they are also in my future nursery
* I have a rocking chair in my future nursery
* I HAVE to walk through every baby section in EVERY store we go to
* I have a pinterest board slam full of baby / pregnancy related articles and ideas
* I have a baby name app on my phone that I browse through daily
* i practice writing my future child's name ( lol is this weird ?)
Lord, I hope summer time hurries up and arrives.. im SOO ready to just start trying.. lol i liked this thread, its nice to tell someone all of my quirky secrets and OBSESSIVE baby fever moments lol
I somehow found all these videos on youtube of women who videoed themselves when they found out they were pregnant... I started to squal and I just watched those videos for about 2 solid hours.. just watching the look on their faces is priceless..
I'm guilty of alot of the above. We have a 14 month old and if it were not for the cost of daycare I would be TTC now but alas I must wait until late summer next year so our son would be in preschool by the time LO #2 arrives.
- I already have a plan on how to tell SO and how we would announce the pregnancy
- I have a girl and a boy name that I am pretty set on
- have not gotten rid of one baby item from DS so we are as prepared as I guess we could be
- have scheduled my annual Exam around the time I would start taking prenatals before trying to conceive
And I too have a secret Pinterest board dedicated to a new LO.

Ha! I had a countdown app too but I deleted it because I thought maybe it was feeding my obsession. But of course I know that my last Nuvaring comes out on June 11 & that CD 1 starting from withdrawal bleed (like clockwork) will fall on June 15. Those dates are kinda etched into my brain.
We are planning a vacation for the week after Memorial Day which has helped me. Honestly, we set this date in early 2014 & I didn't think about it until after our August wedding. I actually feel kind of good about it now that we are down to 6 months.
DH has talked about painting the nursery pre-TTC, we know we both want a pale mint green color regardless of the baby's sex. We also know names. I nixed the nursery painting.
I've started to think of when/how we will tell our family too (mine are all local & DH's are all out of state).
Family members asked about our TTC plans around the wedding & we told them "about a year"- may regret that one. I haven't bought anything for my hypothetical baby yet but my mother bought something already. She may very well have bought all our accessories by the time I'm pregnant!
DH and I are talking about TTC way more than we have in the past, knowing that we are closer to actually starting. We find ourselves perusing the baby section at WalMart more often than we should be. Also when we bought our house last year we painted the room we would use for a nursery grey in prep for future babies (In our defense nothing else in the room is baby related and it is the same grey we painted our bedroom with). DH bought some Hurley onesies and my grandmother has also made a few baby clothes purchases at garage sales.
Me personally, on The Bump all the time, secret baby board on Pinterest, soaking up all the knowledge I can
We are going to start trying at the end of Jan..and go for a pre-conception drs visit on Monday!
I have a small tote full of kids movies and toys/stuffed animals
I bought a stuffed animal when we were on vacation for our future child (2010 vacation)
I had a Christmas gift made for my neice (a stuffed animal made from my in-laws old clothes) and I had two made.
When I hear names the most common phrase out of my mouth after that is “I like that name…” or I pair that name with my last name and decide it won’t work.
Pinterest, Pinterest, Pinterest – boards about nursey, announcements, newborn pictures
I want to be pregnant by Mother’s day to tell our parents with a gift – which I have already planned out.
I want to do a gender reveal in the summer because we are having a 5th year wedding anniversary/party
I have organized my house based on where I want to put baby stuff
I am already stressed out about creating boundaries with my MIL.
I work at a hospital and think about how cool it would be to give birth there surrounded by others I know
I feel a little more normal right now...
I have boy names picked out because we would like to have a boy, but girl names are up to him.
He picked out the hospital I will deliver at because he was born there.
I have decided how I will tell him, if he wants to be surprised.
I want to get pregnant when I could be due in 2016 so we will be married and living together.
