@mommyx2 made me want wine now. It's 8:26am. I've been working since 7. Long day ahead. Cleaning lady coming at 11 and I have to finish tidying up a bit, as well. I can't wait to have a nice clean house. The last time she was here was the week of Phia's party. I'll be even more excited the NEXT time she comes to clean (before Christmas) because we'll have gotten our new Dyson by then so our carpets will FINALLY feel clean (our Shark has gone kaput). We got a kick-ass deal on the DC65 from Target which I shared with my parents and they bought it for DH and I as our Christmas gift. I've become excited over appliances as gifts. It was only a matter of time, I guess.

I'm babbling. What's up with you guys today??

LO goes to the toddler room today from 9-1 and I am so nervous... I don't know why, I'm sure he will be fine... but it's like day 1 at DC again... with all the "What Ifs...?"

@wedding06 Stella (our Boston Terrier) is no longer allowed to sleep in bed with us and sleeps in her crate because, no joke, she poops in her sleep. DH and I have rolled into many a nugget.

Fucking gross. It's the worst. I'm with you.

I found my digital camera today- IN THE DRYER! It's toast

I'm taking Luke to the doctor later for a follow up on his hives- I think he's allergic to milk ....gah, another trip to the allergist for us.

@finnaroo I have used care.com and found lots of good girls on there. I put up an add for date night baby sitters and got like 27 responses in one day. Five were really good. I met two for interviews and now they are my babysitter squad.

Caveat: I always put my kiddo to bed before I go out. So I just need a responsible, trustworthy adult to sit at my house and watch my baby sleep.

I don't peel Evie's apple slices. I do still cut her grapes into quarters, although the other night she stuck her hand in the bag while I had my back turned and popped a whole grape in her mouth and ate it with no issues. Not the norm though. Last night when I had my back turned, she pulled an apple out of the fruit drawer and walked around the house taking little bites off of it. She wouldn't give it to me to cut up and obviously she isn't going to choke on a whole apple, so I let her have it while I prepared our dinner (DH is out of town). She got a pretty good amount off of it in little bites.

I clearly need to quit leaving the fridge door open when she's in the room!

I LOVE my Dyson @fitmama418, it's the best money I've ever spent on an appliance and I will absolutely buy one again when mine dies. The one I have now I've had for 5+ years and it still works like a new one!

@untaggablekatie I need the motivation to get our cards done. I've had them for 2 1/2 weeks, but just need to sit down and do them!

I haven't even thought of giving my kid apples! He has 2 bottom teeth and 2 teeth on top that are JUST poking through. Do your kiddos who are eating apples have more teeth? Should I be trying apples now?.... And grapes- I still peel them and cut them into tiny pieces. I must be paranoid. Other food I don't cut into that small of pieces.

I peel them with my teeth. Am I strange? Probably. Don't know where I got the idea that I had to do that.... But I thought I was supposed to?... Well maybe I should quit doing it. It takes too long and J gets impatient with me.

@Finnaroo‌ I used to be a gym daycare worker AND on care.com and sittercity.com
I ended up working for a family from the gym as a nanny and even went to Italy with them. I'd say feel her out a few more times and see. Also, care and sitter city people can get background checks if that makes you feel better!

Very low-key day here. T is sick and I'm wiped. Trying to decide if I should keep his appt for his flu vax booster tomorrow. Thoughts?

I'm home with B today. It's a big day for DH. Today he goes to a hearing about his disability. The decision made after today's hearing is going to be a big deal for us no matter which way it goes.

It's a work related injury and I am so ready to be through all the red tape. I hope the decision is favorable.

@EmmyFitzy you missed an AMAZING deal on a Dyson at Target last week!!! My parents bought it for us for Christmas. It was a $450 vacuum for what shook out to be about $265 after the discount plus Red Card savings if you had one. I can't WAIT.

I never peeled grapes nor have I cut any blueberries.

I cut grapes and I peel apples and pears.

@Finnaroo We got our last date night sitter using Care.com and I was really happy with her. I had her come by to meet us for a few united before I hired her and got a copy of her background check. It was a good experience.

@wedding06 I spent the entire night in blankets covered in cat vomit. Sinny threw up and I climbed into bed in the dark, then when I woke up saw it was everywhere, and it was all dry and crusty so it had to have been there since before I went to sleep.

Good thing about having a cat with almost no hair is no poop stragglers hitching a ride on his fur and making their way into my sheets.

This is Sinny right now. I love when he curls up in this faux shearling blanket because his fur and the texture of the blanket are so similar.

@BrittAnnie19‌ I still haven't heard from our own FF mama and it's worrying me. I feel like I'm trying to flag her down telling her there's danger ahead and she goes right on by. I want to at least know that she has the info. At a certain point though, I'm harassing her so I don't know what else to do. It's a crummy feeling.

Yay @CGMB! Great news. This is a good week for the N13 girls, I feel it.

@UntaggableKatie‌ that GIF reminded me of a conversation I had with my mom this weekend. Their neighbors have turtles and she heard weird noises coming from their backyard one day. She peeked over the fence to see two turtles DTD. She did a reenactment complete with turtle mating sounds. Don't google it. It's weird.

I have a few wrapped presents under the tree. Claire proceeded to tell me that because they have her name on them she should be able to keep them in her room until Christmas. When I told her they had to stay under the tree she said "okay the tree will fit in my room too".

Oh. Also, regarding our very own FF mom, I've seen an even more recent picture of her LO in his car seat that is still FF even after I messaged her. I don't necessarily expect her to listen to me, I would hope that happens, but it's the uncertainty of whether of not she knows it could be dangerous that is making me anxious about it.

I don't know. She's not very active. A couple other girls messaged me asking about it and suggested they might contact her also. I don't know if she is ignoring us or just didn't get the messages.

@UntaggableKatie‌ I don't know who it is either. But I'm sure whomever it is knows the safety benefits of rf (or should if they have been around at all recently) Thats what worries me. If she knows that and just doesn't care. I mean it's one thing to disagree over watching TV or what kids eat but for a potential life and death matter takes it to a whole new level.
