I knew Beth was going to die. They finally gave her character some balls and she dies. The part that really killed me though is that Beth did it wrong and Daryl had to finish the job. Oh, and poor Maggie.
Really? The second they told Maggie that Beth was alive my comment was "ah you don't really care seeing as you have basically never asked about her"... I LOVE Maggie don't get me wrong.. But the writers did nothing to support her really worrying about Beth.
Now Daryl and his man-tears, that made me sad. I knew she wouldn't make it long but the moment it went down my guy FLEW to the edge of his seat and was like "wtf!?" Lol it was pretty cute.
I was pretty pissed that AMC put that HUGE spoiler on Facebook last night. I didn't watch the episode until this morning but knew Beth was going to die.
On another note - Anyone see the show Helix? Netfix "recommended" it, lol. I watched a few episodes over the weekend and it is....interesting.

If I hadn't of watched the episode I would have been so mad too! 9 PM is past my bedtime, but I stayed up to watch anyway because I knew someone would spoil it for me!

I watched it live so it didn't spoil it for me but it was up before the credits even played in central time. It would be different if ppl were reading comments and were spoiled but to just put that picture there was not good.
TMZ ruined the death for me last night. I knew someone was going to die, but didn't know who. I had an idea though. Norman Reedus posted a picture of him carrying Beth out as well. Ugh. Damn spoilers.
And I'm with @erobbins09 on the whole Maggie situation. Not once has she tried to go find her sister. And now all of a sudden she cares? Whatevs.
I was honestly hoping the one killed off last night was Glenn.

@erobbins09@MommyOfAMiracle I think Maggie NOT talking/asking about Beth was just purposeful character development on the part of the writers.
Wait, hear me out!
Maggie & Beth are very different. Maggie is MUCH more stoic than Beth in and tends to internalize everything. Think of all the people, family, she has lost. I think that maybe Maggie just couldn't go there mentally in order to survive. People grieve in different ways, and I think Maggie's is just to shut it down & shut it out (much like how she dealt with the death of her father). I think she assumed Beth was already dead & just didn't want to talk about it. She didn't want to allow herself to *hope*, which made the fact that Beth died more heartbreaking to watch. It destroyed Maggie because after (I forgot who told her) she found out Beth was still alive, she allowed herself to get her hopes up.
I'm mad because Beth wasn't supposed to die for at least another season. One of the original cast WAS supposed to die, just not Beth. And I'm never OK with them breaking my man's heart. Oh Daryl! Come here and I'll comfort you ;;)
That spoiler going up so soon was a crap deal, too. I should have just avoided my Facebook til after I watched it like I normally do, especially since we don't watch it til after it's already aired so DS isn't going to walk out to see anything, but it popped up as the first thing since it was trending already. Glad I watched the episode anyway, just VERY disappointed with the way they left it.
The preview scenes and that last scene with the map were all pretty cool and exciting, though!

UO, but DH and I never liked Beth much and were fine with her being the character that was killed off. The fact that she stabbed Dawn with itty bitty gauze cutting scissors in the shoulder was just one more example of her painful naïveté. I suppose Beth was supposed to be the face of hope and innocence and perseverance, but to me it was annoying rather than endearing. Again, just my UO
What hurt the most was watching Darryl's reaction! My man! Jk jk
I agree about not being that upset over Beth (even if we share a name). She was annoying for a long time... Then she improved but was still kind of "meh."
I would be upset if Glenn died. I like he and Maggie giving us a little love action as the world falls apart.
@foxslaw I totally hear your points. I am like that too in when things get tough I often choose to toughen up and move forward rather than dwell in the hopelessness. BUT.. I don't know... I would think she at least would have talked to Daryl more about his extended time with her.. Her abduction.. Etc. I know they can't show everything but even when my sis and I don't get along id probably sit around the Bob-b-que and talk about it.
@cogdis - I don't know, to be honest. I just don't like him. I don't like his acting/ character. For some reason I just have such a hard time getting over it. Every episode with Glenn I hope he can learn to love him, but I just can't.

Why Glenn? He's not my favourite, but I wouldn't want him to die. I was hoping Eugene or the army dude would die, if anyone had to.
I'm sad we lost Beth.

That's understandable. I've disliked characters from other shows for the same reason.
