@Kaylajade8911‌ I tried. I think they are okay with me not getting them much. I just feel weird about it.

This is my mom too. She goes all out and then I feel like shit when I'm like...here's your one present...

  • I want to go to my insurance company home office and TP all the people. Hospitals and health insurance companies are so fucked. People are just $$ to them. Forget the fact that I had a really dangerous situation happening when I went into labor I guess I should've just rolled the fucking dice there! Assholes...I'm so mad and it's only 10am

I feel ya, some person in Utah "reviewed my case" and found that my gallbladder removal was not medically necessary.

Apparently they missed that fact that near 25% of c-sections require a gallbladder removal...

Those that swaddle... What do you use if the pajamas are micro fleece? I feel like wrapping her in a sleep sack would be too hot. But our house gets to about 68 degrees at night and she'll wake herself up with arms flailing all over if she's not contained.

We use the Aiden & Anais muslin swaddle blankets.
We are so excited to grow our family!

  • @Leysin97‌ we haven't been swaddling because he's always hated it. I'm rethinking this and am going to try to get to the store today to look at options. I need him to stop screaming again this afternoon so I can actually get a shower. Ugh.

My daughter hates it. She whines, kicks, and tries to get out of it until she falls asleep and resumes when she wakes up. DH calls it a straight jacket. I have a bunch of swaddleme too but she rolls over in that so don't use them.
  • So y'all know the formula coupon thread?  I posted about my coupons, and I had someone message me about it... but I didn't recognize the name, so I looked at their post history, and ALL of their posts are on coupon threads.  Nothing else.

Should I take this to mean that she really needs the coupons and I should give them to her?  Or should I save them for someone that is a part of our board?  Because my intention was to help someone I know... but I didn't clarify WHO I would send to...  I don't know.  Maybe I'm making a way bigger deal out of this than I should.
I didn't know my person either. Maybe it's the same one. I didn't really care. I have the samples to @geetargirl05‌ so I felt good about that part.

Really? Why? I had a section but have no gallbladder so it didn't matter but that's weird.

  • @Saragoeswest‌ I'm getting mine today too. Why the cytotec? I didn't have to take any of that...

To soften the cervix I guess? How did it go for you? I just got home. It wasn't as uncomfortable as I thought it would be. I think the speculum is the worst part. Now I'm cramping though and that kinda blows. I got a holiday drink at Starbucks as a reward.

Yeah I have no idea, but both the general surgeon and my OB have several patients like that. It's I guess not uncommon for pregnant women to have gallbladder issues too. Mostly stones, but they have infected ones too.

On the topic of swaddling, We swaddle every night but my husband has to do it. He has an unbreakable swaddle that I'm sure has something to do with working food service for years lol.

My question is in regards to getting stuff done around the house. I have this issue with getting things done. I feel guilty if I just let her go in her swing for a couple hours, but I obviously can't get any done holding her all the time. I have a carrier but she will only be complacent in it if I am doing something where I am moving. So what do you ladies do?
  • So MIL is watching LO today. We went to a movie and I pumped in the car there and when I got home. In that time LO ate about 7 oz. I was only able to pump not quite 6 in 2 sessions....
  • All of the Chinese restaurants are closed on Monday. I just want sesame shrimp. :(( No more turkey.
I wish we had Chinese food here.

    Tylenol?
Yep, gave it to him. He just kicks his legs so much that while waiting for it to kick in he just cries. :(

Guise why do babies accumulate all that lint in their toes ?! :|

I love picking it out. X_X
I picked so much out of DS's toes yesterday! Also -- how do they accumulate such gunk in their hands? I have no idea where this comes from.

I need to make Christmas pictures happen this week -- anyone taken their LO to see Santa? I'm thinking of trying ... but feel like it might be crazy.

I took Noah during the day on a week day right after the lunch break. He was fast asleep and we didn't have to wait in line. The pictures were adorable and perfect for our Christmas card.

Those that bf and pump for the sake of a stash and not supplementing, do you sub sessions for pumping and offer a bottle, instead, or pump after a bf sesh? I've got a good supply now, more than she needs and I'm afraid that if I pump after I feed her, my boobies will start making way more than we need and I'll be engorged all the time.

Right now, if I pump after feeding her, I get about 5oz from both. I feed her on one side at each feeding and have no idea how much she eats because I can't get her to take more than 2oz from a bottle before she gets pissed and wants boobies... Suggestions?

    Eta: current pump info

I pump every morning, usually an hour before a feeding and then sometimes ill pump again in the afternoon an hour before a feeding.. im definitely not engorged ever and in the morning I pump 5-6 oz and in the afternoon 3-4 :)

Do you swaddle for naps? Where does she sleep during the day IF she sleeps?
No I don't swaddle for naps. Usually the couch on her back or in her swing and we usually have good nights. These past few days shes just not taking daytime naps. :/ she's gotten into a routine of sleeping from about 11ish -4 and last night was the first time in a while that shes done this. :-<

I stick her in the swing or bouncy seat. I mean, she has to sleep.

If not the eggnog latte, then which one? ;)
  • I had my first day back at work today. And I found out that a woman I work with developed cancer and passed away while I was on maternity leave.

    Sad warning...

She was also on maternity leave. :((
