cake!

So I am 24 weeks along and for the last week I want cake something fierce! My husband loves cake too so we have ended up getting one at the store and I have had a slice every night for a few days. I don't eat much candy or super sugary things otherwise, but I feel kind of bad for eating a piece of cake everyday! It still just sounds amazing so it will apparently continue for a while longer anyway, does anyone have any ideas if this is ok or should I really try to get control of it? I don't have much craving-wise besides this. Kind of weird I suppose haha.

  • @whitfry you win the internet.

Thanks. You may reward me with lemon cake that has orange and green frosting. We cal all guess what race and sexual identity my kid will be born with.
  • I'm only eating fruit and kale so I wouldn't know.

    But it's OK. Because:

  • I am 7w3d today.  Last night I made a two layer chocolate cake with raspberry and chocolate ganache filling and cream cheese icing.  It was fucking awesome.

Should I talk to my doctor about this?
No, but you're going to have a dark-skinned pansexual. Hope you're cool with that.
  • Eat all of the damn cake. If you don't, I will.
  • I came into this thread hoping for a bunch of pictures of cake...I am sorely disappointed.

    Me too :/
  • I'm so hungry now.

  • Cake kills.
  • Only one piece....it's a good day if I can stop myself having more than 3 pieces!!
  • Going to Gigi's to get a cupcake in 3...2...1...

  • When I made two dozen cupcakes a couple weeks ago I ate 90% of them myself in a two day span.. I plan On doing it again possibly today since I'm snowed in and craving it. Hopefully I don't die..
  • Can't believe how dismissive everyone is of your question! I'm new here, so maybe I'm wrong. I think eating sugary foods everyday is probably not a good idea, hopefully cake doesn't become a weekly thing!
  • So I guess the pecan pie I've been eating for breakfast the last two days was bad parenting? Oh well!
  • So I guess I shouldn't have eaten that whole angel food cake the other day...
  • So the two donuts I ate today....bad?

  • I apologize, I should not have even asked a question here. I thought this was actually a place to get some support from other people and I really kind of needed it as I was feeling pretty down. I will not make this mistake again. Thanks to the very few of you who were at least comically kind to me and somewhat helpful.

So lets take a look at your posting history. You posted that you're having a boy child. And you posted this thread about cake. In which you did not ask for support, but merely wanted to know if it was "ok" to eat cake. And then you posted about how we failed to support you regarding your cake issue.

I'm not certain what you were hoping for here. As in, I genuinely don't understand where you're coming from. Seriously.

I could go on and on about how you have failed to contribute to this community, posted no intro, and have done nothing to allow us to get to know you and therefore care one bit about your cravings. I could tell you to go read other threads and get a feel for the forum so you can figure out how things work around here. Or about how you didn't even ask for this "support" that you're complaining about not getting.

But I just don't know that anything is really going to get through here. The only question I can find in your OP is "does anyone have any ideas if this is ok or should I really try to get control of it?"

...We answered you. I'm sorry if you didn't like the answers you were given, but everyone responded to the question your post contained. We responded with a high amount of snark and sarcasm, but we responded.
