I bought a used lot that included a big wet bag and some smaller wet bags. I washed them together (no diapers or inserts in the load) with purex free and clear soap, but the usual amount I would do for laundry. Should I just do some extra rinses or since they are just wet bags should be ok.

I think the more experienced ladies will chime in, and I'm a newbie to CD, but you're not using Purex F&C to wash your diapers are you? Pretty sure that's the bigger concern.

But you should just be able to run the wet bags through an extra rinse and get the detergent out.

@love4science no and I don't know why I washed the wet bags with purex f & c. I wasn't even thinking this morning! I have some country save that was included in the lot I bought. I need to research what detergents still since I have never seen country save detergent in NJ. My cousin got me the lot in VA.

Ha! I know the feeling. I filled the cup with All F&C and almost dumped it in a load on a sleep deprived morning before I was like "what am I doing?"

I don't know if the residue in the wet bags will be a problem for future washes. Let's see what the experienced ladies say. I'm curious since I'm sure I'll screw up similarly sooner or later.

You probably ruined them and should just throw them out.

LLOL, no don't worry at all about it. The most I would do is rinse it again, but I wouldn't even do that.

lol Thanks! I just looked at the wash and there is not a lot of suds left in the wash! I have it set on extra rinse already and then I am going to air dry them!

@tj1979 @into+the+kitty @love4science So sorry one more newb question. The lot I got came with a ton of microfiber inserts and reusable wipes. (Bum genius and rump a rooz brands) I am washing them now with the country save on a hot cycle and then will rinse with 2 cold rinse cycles. Is it ok to dry the inserts and wipes as long as I don't use a dryer sheet.

Eh it is so much harder to truly mess up than you'd think. And yes put those microfiber inserts and wipes in the dryer.

If it makes you feel any better, I've been cloth diapering for two weeks and I already accidentally dyed all of my microfiber inserts purple. I am special.

This is why I tried Charlies soap, liked it, and so committed to the giant tub of it for all of our laundry. I just know I'd waste a ton of water doing even more washes to deal with my little mix up mistakes!
