Already missing all the summer concerts DH and I won't be able to attend and really really missing my mom, who lives 3 states away and is the only person I would trust to watch a newborn! And wine. And beer. And the social aspect of both of those...
My grandma is planning a huge get together this July and I am disappointment that I won't be able to go. Also I was planning a trip out to see my brother in April but I don't think I will want to fly at 7/8 months pregnant. I miss beer already and had two tiny sips at our friendsgiving party.
I'm missing good craft beer and my husband and I booked an anniversary trip to Jamaica a week before my due date so we'll miss that too
Rebook the trip to some months after the baby is born. I can't wait to travel with my little one. I have seen so many young couples with little babies in the Caribbean on a beach...I have always been a little envious of that picture, and now can't wait for our first trip together. :-)

Me- 28, DH- 32 ----> together six years, married June 2012
TTC ---> since the wedding night Initial diagnosis of PCOS, currently labeled as unexplained infertility
Clomid and trigger shot regimen BFP 12/20/13, EDD 8/25/2014, baby got his wings at 11 weeks and 3 days.
Margaritas. I'm not a big drinker but I love me some margs. We went outfit mexican on Friday and I had to get a virgin so sad.
ETA: we also take a big family vacation to upstate NY at the end of July. Baby will only be 3w or so if s/he arrives on time, so I don't see me wanting to drive 6 hours with a newborn.
XC skiing is pretty awesome actually. I snowboard and xc ski and I don't prefer one over the other--it's a different experience for sure though. It's certainly athletic and gets you outside in beautiful places. And I like to do XC with hills!
Erinka - I bet you would love split-boarding, if you don't already. Just in case you're not familiar, a split-board is a snowboard that splits apart to serve as touring skis. You put climbing skins on the bottom and can even climb up hills. Of course the reward is getting way out somewhere beautiful and remote. Then you put the board back together and ride down the hills you just climbed.
"Earn your turns!"

I'm gonna miss going to Disney World and just strolling around catching up with old friends. Though, I can't wait til my litttle tadpole is older so I can take her to see all the wonders that are Fantasmic!
You can actually enjoy the vast majority of rides at Disney World while pregnant, only a few come with a warning. We are headed up there today, and my doctor actually cleared me to ride anything I want at 8 weeks. Once I have a real belly I will not go on certain rides, but will keep going to Disney. We just bought Annual Passes in October (figures, right?) and only live 3 hours away. I could understand skipping a trip because it is expensive to not be able to go on everything though. ---quote fail---
I might get flak for this, but I went to WDW the day I found out I was pregnant for a week and then again at 6 weeks for a few days and rode everything. After 10w or so I wouldn't ride anything with a warning but during the first tri, the baby is so well protected and there is no placenta yet (major danger is placental abruption).
Even if you are further along, I think there was maybe 10-12 rides with warnings? I personally would go again in 2nd or 3rd tri, but we go a lot!
Is skiing still bad if you are experienced and take the easy runs? If it is then I will be missing that and winter will seem long stuck inside!
lustuart - It's because of the danger of falling. Think about it... the easy runs are almost scarier sometimes. Ever had an out of control beginner crash into you? Then there's always that random catching an edge out of nowhere fall, at least for me, anyway.

I miss the odd drink, I'm a social drinker and smoker. Not smoking hasn't bothered me though. One of my best friends is getting married at the end of June and I won't be able to make it. Once I am too big I will miss horseback riding, I am not stopping now though as it is my job, but am not riding the youngsters and green horses, having my staff do that.

Gosh, I never thought of that, makes total sense though! Thanks!
I was a week away from booking a trip to Puerto Rico...for next week...when I got the positive results. Decided to save that money for baby instead, but I'm kind of sad.
I'm definitely going to miss the constipation, nausea, dizziness, carpal tunnel and people rubbing my stomach when I'm only 10 weeks pregnant...Hands off my fat lady!
On a serious note, when my daughter was born I missed the kicks. They were like little secrets between the two of us... until my whole stomach was moving like crazy. Not much of a secret then!
ETA: Apparently I've lost all reading comprehension skills.... Totally thought this post meant something different even after I read all the posts about missing sushi. Maaaaaybe I shouldn't be up 4 hours past my usual quitting time!
In that case, I miss my appetite! And I've really been wanting a glass of egg nog lately.
Just like most of you lovely ladies- I will miss a good beer, the ability to throughly enjoy gorging myself during the holidays... Though I certainly won't miss the spontaneous heaving... That, that can go.
My father bought 2 bottles of it for me for Thanksgiving! (family doesn't know yet). But I will use one of those bottles to announce my pregnancy to him. I am going to order a label off of Etsy to put on the bottle and I am going to wrap it up and watch his reaction
Oh, and I'd kill for a cold cut sub right now. I know I'm probably fine eating one (according to OB), but I have that stigma in my head so I'm trying to avoid lunch meat.

Eat the sushi and sub. Your baby will be fine as long as you're not eating from a place that's shady as fuck.

I was wondering this myself. It's going to be my son's first time on the slopes this season and I was hoping to teach him. We will only be on the bunny hill....so I'm contemplating risking it.
I'm missing all my toxic creative pursuits.. Stained glass soldering, painting, resin jewelry (I hadn't even tried that, just bought the materials) I like toxins it seems. I was drinking way too much before getting pregnant and I think this is a huge blessing to get us away from that lifestyle. I've also discovered sparkling Grape juice which makes a LOVELY faux champagne.
I miss having energy, eating what I want when I want, and having a clean house. Plus my family and I were planning a cruise to Alaska in July that's not happening anymore
I am actually excited that I have an excuse to stay in the cabin and not ski! My whole family is really good and loves to ski fast, I usually go along and crap my pants and hate it! Hehe so I can't wait to be lazy and have hot cocoa!
I miss coffee. And the ability to poop effortlessly. I may also miss a briefly talked about trip to New Orleans in Feb/March with 2 other couples. 3 days before my bfp we talked about going as a last hurrah before we all get pregnant. 2 of the 3 couples were already trying and the 3rd plans to start trying after the trip. Guess if we do decide to go I'll be waddling around watching everyone else get drunk. ..
I miss enjoying food. Eating is such a "chore" now. I really don't like much of anything anymore.
I have felt the same way. For some reason croissants have been going down easy so I've taken to eating one a day. Yesterday I made it a chocolate croissant and that was the first pleasure I'd gotten from food in a month. I felt sick again after but it was pleasant remembering that food is not the enemy for a brief moment.
For sure stay away from fish that is known to have high mercury levels, but so long as you go to a clean place with a good track record there should be no issues. Raw fish is freakin delicious and has super omega 3 and its freakin delicious.
I came into this wanting to post 'drinking on New Years' then read everyone else's now I have a list a mile long lol darn it. Right now I'm missing sex. Had some spotting the other night so dr wants me to take a break. It's like forbidden fruit !
I'm missing coffee and chocolate since they are the only two things that make me nauseous...I miss wine...I miss not feeling completely exhausted all the time...and I'm missing the family camping trip to Maine at the beginning of july

Anytime I eat something sweet I get so nauseous! I haven't actually thrown up yet (and I'm hoping I don't) but I miss sweets!
The sushi thing is interesting to me because many Japanese women eat sushi as part of a healthy diet.
Here's an interesting New York Times Op-Ed piece about eating sushi while pregnant:

I just had sushi two days ago. Yum.
