Belly Violators

Re: Belly Violators

  • I survived unscathed. Not even one person asked to touch, they only admired my enormity. My uncle was the best, just awing that I am "creating a human in there".

  • Now I know families are supposed to be weird and annoying, but some of these happenings are just making my jaw drop! At least y'all get to blame ILs.. The violators to me are my own flesh and blood!

  • @theinvadermothership‌ and @SuperFudge00‌ thanks ladies. Needless to say, we are not spending Thanksgiving with my in laws anymore. Husband agrees. We aren't even supposed to be there on Thanksgiving anyway, since we go there for Easter... except my MIL complained last year that she felt it was unfair since my husband is an only child and my mom has five kids. What the fuck ever. Tried to be nice and see both families, never again. Especially not with a baby, no way am I bouncing my kid back and forth 3 times to my MIL house. (Because she actually told us she needed us to go back TWICE after we went to my parent's house, even though we had just been there. There was no "need." She is impossible.)

  • @twinklepits‌ all i can say is stay strong and good luck. Seriously, if you ever feel yourself wavering, just come back and talk to us, we'll talk you down... the bump remembers... lol :ar!
  • @twinklepits‌ I agree, I refuse to run around on holidays. .. especially once there's a baby. Pick a place and enjoy the day.

@theinvadermothership‌ thanks. Those were all my in laws, and they live all up in each other's business in a small town. They have a very hard time seeing outside their own little bubble of dysfunction. I can make the drive, it was just so shocking how completely unwilling they were to see my side of things.

I can understand that. Family is supposed to be accommodating and you know, CARE about these things and when they don't it just sucks. Maybe you can work on your SIL and she can insist. Usually when it's your family and not ILs you have a little more sway. Good luck regardless and sorry again that it wasn't very ideal.
