Lazy day today - J is off which is rare for a Saturday! I think we're going to decorate for Christmas. I'd like to do all the stuff around the house, then go get the tree and so it's last and then we're done! It's the last year of breakables on the tree for a while...also I'm super excited for Simone's ornaments. I got a few special ones for her first Christmas.
Tomorrow we are meeting with a potential nanny. Our first choice found another family, though there was nothing wrong with our second choice (first choice spoke Spanish which we liked), so we do that tomorrow. We are also checking out two small daycares over the next few days.
Last, to my shock and horror, my annual physical produced some concerning blood work in terms of cholesterol, etc. WTF!? So I want to get stocked up for my WW full-court press between now and Christmas. No slacking anymore .
Simone is 100 days old today! Look at this "selfie" J took last night!
Lil'mamaz was born on Aug 21, 2014! She's PERFECT!
It's been a long road to here... Me (43) and J (45) - same sex couple. And we don't feel 40+! June'12 - First RE Visit Sept. '12 - Tubes removed Dec. We live in Seattle and used SRM for our donor egg IVF cycle
Currently lying in bed with the covers up to my ears--it is dark, windy, and chilly on Oahu today. I love it.
I was already up to change W's diaper from a sudden T-day bum rash due, I think, from eating 3 bananas. While we ate real food. He was a wreck. Anyway, so new diaper and a cup of milk for him and back to bed for me!
DW is doing well (50+ days left!) and I'm stoked about the new baby. Thankfully she is still up for watching W while Big Kid and I go to the barn, where I teach thereputic riding lessons and DD gets to ride. Very good times.
Then we might go get a local Christmas tree and decorate. For those of you who know Oahu, there is a local tree grower near the Dole Plantation. Can anyone say "Dole Whip?"
Sunday is a work day for me, but I work at our church so my whole family comes and it is crazy and strange.
Good fun all 'round. I think I have to get to the beach this weekend. You would think we go all the time, but we don't, because we are busy working and going to practice, etc. the nice thing is if you want to go and have an hour, you pretty much can have 50 minutes of beach time. It is good for my brain to stand on the edge of the ocean and gain some perspective. Waves are big right now, so I probably won't even go in.

Not much going on today, just entertaining myself with the laundry (it doesn't take much to amuse me these days) But tomorrow, I plan on surprising A when she gets home from work with a batch of speculaas biscuits (continental Christmas cookies) and maybe some gingerbread, if I'm in the mood. In a small flat, the smell of fresh baking gets into every room and really gets us in the mood for some seasonal fun. After that, chances are it won't be long before the tinsel comes out.
It's an overcast day here and I just got the kids down for a nap. I thought I'd jump under the covers for a quick snooze too, or at least read for a few precious minutes. Last night a friend treated me to a massage. It was heavenly. I was kid free afterward and ran an errand at a department store (without kids shopping is so fun!).
Today is a low key day, we ate a late brunch together, EV ran some errands, including getting costumes for the boys for our Christmas card photo shoot. Tonight we're going to the the drive-in movies to see Mockingjay (I haven't made it to the theater to see it yet), it's playing after bedtime so Kaden will likely sleep. Tomorrow we're going over a friends for a "typical German breakfast". Yummm.
I'm working all weekend. I know...boring. I'm over this TWW! Come on already! Today my HCG shot was out of my system, it took ten days. When I didn't see the second line anymore I got real sad:( I know it's silly but that's what happened. I'm hoping that the line comes back soon.
