s/o CD trainers and potty training

I got a baby bjorn potty at a garage sale and took it outside on the patio to disinfect and hose it down. I left it out to dry. The evening, DD and I were outside playing; and she pointed to it and said 'Potty!' (not new, she knows what a potty is) and proceeded to strip off her diaper, AND dress, AND shoes and sat on the potty. Later in the evening, she pulled off her (wet) diaper and went into the bathroom to sit on the potty. She hasn't peed in it yet, but I think she had just peed in her diaper before she took it off.

I have heard that CD kids potty train early (she will be 2 in sept) , and this kind of seemed like a clue that she might be ready; but I don't want to push her. Any tips? Also, whats your favorite CD training pants? Thanks!

  • I'd keep doing what you are doing. Once she finally does go in the potty, cheer her on like crazy. You can also start talking to her if you notice right away when she pees or poops like "Hey, next time, if you want, you can try to pee/poop in the potty!"

We made pull up type trainers out of prefolds and PUL. It was really easy, there are some tutorials online.  CAbunny has a link to the one I used in her sig.

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU! :) It would be a blessing for her to be potty trained before LO #2 arrives...
