  • You can move me to cycle complete. They scanned my abdomen before transfer because i was still complaining of bad bloating and that I haven't been able to eat as much as normal. I have a fair amount of fluid and RE says I have Moderate OHSS. He still gave us a choice, but said there is a 30% chance it will be come Severe if the transfer works. As much as I hated to do it, we decided a freeze all was best. They try not do cycles in December, so we'll probably try a transfer in January depending on when AF shows.

  • Happy birthday @AngM123‌!! Sending sticky thoughts to you!!

@kaly75‌ FX for your beta!! Sending positive thoughts that it won't be CP!!

@SweetieShellieH‌ I am so sorry that you will have to wait till January but at least you have good embies waiting for you! ;)

@AngM123‌ thank you for caring :x
I will go next week, December 2nd is my appointment. I like my RE a lot but I will see how I feel about her next plan.. If I don't feel 100%sure probably I will look for a second opinion.. I am trying to have faith but sometimes it is difficult..

  • Happy Thanksgiving to all the Tiny Turkeys!

Congrats to all the BFP, and everybody PUPO.

@SweetieShellieH‌ I am sorry your transfer is cancelled.

AFM: I went to the ER on Wednesday due to bad abdominal pain, and my right side hurt really badly, and when they pushed on it I would scream. I have mild to moderate OHSS. I was on IV fluids over night, and have gained 3 pounds since transfer. I am home now, and the pain subsided some,  but I am super bloated. They told me to keep hydrated and drink a lot of fluids. They ran my Beta and it came back at 78, and now I have to go for a follow up on Monday. Fx'ed it goes up.

    *Child Mention*
QOTD: I love May, since I got the best present of all time.

    ** Warning **

My BFP story so far, not sure how it will end.  I bought 3 FRERs and 3 CB digitals with weeks. My beta was scheduled for Monday Dec 1st, which is 15dp5dt.

I had what I thought was implantation spotting on Saturday night, which was 6dp5dt.  At 11pm I tested and got a positive FRER with a squinty line.  I tested with a CB digital Sunday and it said "Not Pregnant", tested with a FRER and it was a light line, but a clear positive and darker than the night before.  Monday, tested with another FRER and got same positive.  Tuesday 9dp5dt I had a "Pregnant 1-2" on the CB.  Wednesday I started cramping and bleeding bright red.  Thursday heavier cramping and bleeding, I called the nurse and she scheduled me for a beta for Friday (this morning).

I was expecting the beta to be less than 50 as I assume I'm having a CP.  The beta came back at 162.  I'm not sure what to think right now. I go back in on Monday to see if the beta decreased or increased.

  • @SweetieShellieH‌ I know it's way upsetting to have to do a freeze all now, but in my experience it gives you a way better chance of success! I had a really rough recovery from ER & had to do a freeze all. I really don't think a transfer would have been successful. So far, our FET has resulted in a BFP! Take care of yourself so you can be in the best possible shape for your FET!

@kaly75 I was worried as well at 8 and 9dp5dt because I only had a faint line on FRER, but my first beta was 162 at 10dp5dt! So stay positive!

@blueeyes233 FX for you!!! Those first few days are so scary!

@stace2524 it is so terrifying isn't it?!? I'm still scared.

AFM: anxiously awaiting our first u/s on Monday!!!

    I'm sorry, @jeezidunno. I hope things turn around. <3

I'm sorry you didn't get to do your transfer @SweetieShellieH. I hope you're reunited with your embabies soon.

@fjamil1 I'm sorry about the OHSS! Take care of yourself! FX for rising betas!!

@Discouraged31 It sounds like maybe mild OHSS? I felt pretty good within 2-3 days after my ER. I'd say rest as much as you can and push fluids and protein. If you feel worse, consider seeing, or at least calling, your doctor.

@cwoodward777 I'm glad you're starting to feel better! I hope that line comes back!

@wcasar Best of luck on Monday.

Congrats @stace2524! I hope your numbers keep going up! That's the most important part!

thanks for all the support! OHSS sucks, and I send hugs to all the OHSS tiny turkeys right now (not too tight though, that'll just hurt more! lol)

I'm still feeling pretty crappy, having discomfort in my chest if I am doing anything other then sitting straight. Which made for a difficult night of sleeping, even with 3-4 pillows propping me up.  I did call my nurse and left a message to let her know about the chest discomfort, but so far have not heard back.

The embryology lab called and said they froze 8 Grade B embryos, some of which were expanding, can't remember now if she also said hatching. Hearing "B" kinda made me a little sad (also because I don't know much about grading), but she reassured me that it's good so not to worry about it. But I will anyway!

On Thanksgiving we got the news that my beta doubled.  It went from 72 at 9dp5dt to 146 at 11dp5dt.  I went for a third this morning, but have not got the results.  I am really nervous though because I started spotting this morning (mostly pink some red).  It feels like it is taking forever to get my results from this morning.

QOTW: I love fall weather, but the Christmas season is my favorite time of year.

@blueeyes233  Your beta seems like a nice surprise.  FX'd for doubling betas!
@stace2524 I felt exactly how you do when my beta was positive.  Even when we got a beta that doubled I still felt guarded.  I told my husband I would feel better after we heard the heart beat.
@mrsCW Good luck on Monday; that is so exciting.  How much time was there inbetween your beta and US?  They scheduled my US for Dec 29th stating I would be 6.5 weeks, but that seems off.  I thought I would be about 8 weeks by then.
@carrieharry79 That is an impressive beta!  Congrats!
@SweetieShellieH Good luck with your FET.

  • @alpCRNA My first beta was 11/20, second beta 11/24, and first u/s will be 12/1 which is about 1.5 weeks after my first beta. I think I'll be 6 weeks on Tuesday. 6.5 weeks on dec 29 def sounds way off!!! They must have been looking at the wrong day on a calendar! Weird!

  • does anyone know anything about biopsy day 6 instead of day 5 after ER? we retrieved 34 eggs but only 7 are being biopsied and its day 6..I always thought it was day 5? Excuse my ignorance it's my 1st IVF cycle. Seems like a low number to me considering how many were retrieved??
  • @Discouraged31‌ I didn't do any type of genetic testing, but I think they like to make sure they get to blast, so if yours weren't quite to blast, maybe that why they waited? I know embryos do get frozen on day 6 sometimes.

As far as how many made it to testing, unfortunately I think a lot drop off along the way. I had 17 retrieved and 4 made it to blast, just for comparison. At least you'll know the ones you have left are the absolute best quality, especially if you're testing them.
