First outing with baby today = mom fail. He had his checkup, and I forgot to take a diaper bag. Yeah. I got us all ready, we left, got to the doctor and...I realized that I had no diapers, no extra outfits, nothing. Duh. So, of course he pooped, right when we got into her office. My mom was with me and she was going to run down the street to buy some diapers, but the doctor said not to worry about it and diapered him in a size 4 diaper (pretty funny actually), which is what she had. I felt like a total moron.
On the positive side, everything was great with the baby. At nine days he was 8 oz over his birthweight! The doctor kept saying "you've got a lot of milk!" Maybe I was a wet nurse in a past life - ha! He was such a good boy at the doctor. He just hung out quietly and let her do whatever she needed to do.
Similar thing happened to us at dr this week. Nurse tried to get a rectal temp on Natalie and she pooped all over the nurse. I was trying so hard not to laugh but I couldn't help it. I had another diaper along but it was borderline too small but they had some there to use.
Our Keurig decided to shit the bed this morning ( RIP key to what little sanity I had left. Eh... who needs coffee when you're up all night w/ 2 raging newborns, anyway?
Kudos to all the moms that have twins. I don't know how you do it! I am an absolute wreck with one!
Ugh. I just made the mistake of trying on my favorite (pre pregnancy) jeans. What a sad joke. I couldn't even get them past my thighs!! And here I thought that losing all but 9lbs of the baby weight was pretty awesome. I guess now after buying all those maternity clothes I'll have to buy some post pregnancy clothes as well. Bummer.
The thought of trying on jeans makes me want to cry. Not to mention that I'll either be with a new baby or racing to get home to my new baby. Sounds fun.
I decided to have my first drink today. I drank *maybe* 1/3 of a beer, and was really feeling it! I couldn't finish it, I ended up giving the rest of the bottle to DH.

I do the same thing - I can barely make it through 1/2 a glass of wine without feeling guilty.
Evan has this spot in his diaper area that I thought was a pimple. Now it is looking bigger and more like a blister. It's in the area where I fasten his diaper so I don't if he is getting pinched there.
I keep laughing because doctors say babies can sleep 4 to 5 hours once they hit their birth weight.....uhm I wish! Beckham has slept 4 straight hours once and that is when he was 4 days old. He's 3 weeks... I need sleep!!
Agree 100% @smboswell1 little man is almost a month old and still wants to eat every 2.5 to 3 hours and just over 3 hours is the longest he's gone. I'm worried I'm not producing enough or something.
@minibean16 You've Got Mail is one of my favorites too! For some reason I think of it as a holiday movie, even though it spans several seasons. It gives me the warm fuzzies
Because I've gotten some comments like "you're still fat!" "Are you sure there isn't another in there" "you're pregnant?" Gahhhh!!!
@lovebuggies1 I'm feeling stabby for you right now! Who says those things to a PP woman?! I give you credit for keeping your cool. If someone told me I "still looked fat", they'd be in for an earful. Sending you hugs - I'm sure you look beautiful!
I really wish I could pay someone to come mop my floors, clean the bathrooms and vacuum before DH's family comes over tomorrow night for dinner. DH has been great today with getting everything ready I just don't want to mess with finishing things up. I'm enjoying just hanging out with DD and DH too much.
I'm also finding myself irritated were even doing Thanksgiving because it means we have to share DD. I'm finding myself wanting to hog her. DH's family consists of BIL, SIL, MIL, FIL, & grandma all of whom I like and who have been kind enough to give us space and not bother us since DD was born 2 weeks ago.
Um question ladies... Am I the only one that left L&D looking 6 months pregnant and still look that way? Because I've gotten some comments like "you're still fat!" "Are you sure there isn't another in there" "you're pregnant?" Gahhhh!!! I can't even cuss these people out... I just smile and correct them...
You are my hero for not losing your shit on them. People are assholes! I am sorry you are dealing with rude people.

People are jerks! People don't realize that it takes 10 mos to gain weight and grow a baby. The weight doesn't just fall off. Our bodies need time to get back to where they were or even close to it. I have to remind myself of this each time I look in the mirror or when trying to squeeze into my pre pregnancy jeans. I bet you look amazing :-)
