No way Jose. I'm high risk and I take no chances (no alcohol, no caffeine, nothing fun). We won't even have sex for a long time.
You know most of these things ARE allowed. Coffee in moderation. Sex. I'm high risk too but I know coffee in moderation isn't going to change anything. Neither will a sip of wine or champagne. Or in my case a small sip of redbull.

@poppy715 I know it's all allowed. I just couldn't handle the guilt if something happened. I had a mc before and I felt better knowing I did everything I could. Probably doesn't make any sense to anyone but me

Yes, yum. At my birthday dinner earlier this month I had half a cocktail. I've also had small glasses of wine twice. And tomorrow I plan to skip wine during dinner so I can more fully enjoy a tiny brandy with my pie.
Also, I was tasked with going to the liquor store today for the family loot. My parents didn't even think about it, but I sure got some funny looks at the liquor store (I'm really obviously showing)!

I bought my DH a bottle of expensive scotch for his BD I was about 7 months pregnant. I got the lecture of my life from the manager at the store. I couldn't get a word in at all but no one else stared but I when I went next door to Fatburger I got a lot of dirty looks.
Sadly, my in-laws aren't big drinkers. There won't even be a bottle of wine on the table, and there would be some MAJOR side-eye if the only person who brought and drank some wine was the pregnant chick! Well that and I'm not sure my husband would be on board. I do usually have a taste of whatever beer he is drinking, but so far that's where it stops.

I'm not because noone else in my family drinks white, I usually bring my own wine but don't want to buy a whole bottle for 1 glass and I'm weird about open wine bottles. I don't think it tastes as good when it's been open a few days.
I did have a glass of wine at dinner with a friend last weekend and it was great. I'm going to California in December and definitely plan on going to a few wine tastings.

That's when those small bottles come in handy. I keep the small bottles of wine and champagne in my wine cooler for those moments I want just a glass or 1-2 mimosa's.
I'm going to play it by ear. My appetite and corresponding nausea is still way all over the place, so if alcohol doesn't sound repulsive, I'll definitely be enjoying at least a few sips!
If it were just DH and I at home, probably at least half a glass of moscato, but we will be with a shit ton of family and I will get major league side eye probably if I even sniff an alcohol related drink. I got yelled at for dying my hair..... So, unfortunately, no
We are going to my in-laws first and I'm not sure if I'll have anything to drink there. Then going to my family's after-and they are big drinkers. Was thinking of having a half glass of red wine at each place.
But I ordered a glass of wine at dinner the other night and literally took 3 sips and thought I was going to throw up ( So I guess I'll just play it by ear
I can't imagine the looks I would get from my in-laws if I had a drink. I'll probably steal a few sips of whatever DH is drinking. I did buy some sparkling grape juice to bring to dinner, because that stuff is ah-mazing.
My family doesn't traditionally drink at the holidays so I won't have any. But next weekend myself and a few other friends are supposed to go wine tasting for our birthdays. They said "oh we know you can't have any but please still come". I tried to explain I could simply taste and spit (thinking they'd at least be okay with that) and you should have seen their faces!
My dad makes really good (really strong) wine that I had a sip of. After that I sent DH to our "wine cellar" aka scary basement to bring up an arbor mist blackberry wine. That way I didn't feel too bad about wasting an entire bottle for a half a glass and DH wasn't side eyeing me too much. But I sure did wish I could indulge more in my dad's apple wine. Mmmmm.
DH is the only one who looked at me funny for having the half glass of wine. His mom had a difficult pregnancy with him though and her doctor told her to have a glass of wine a day. So I usually use that in my defense. He turned out pretty ok (This was my first glass too, but he gave me the stink eye even when I got a bottle of a na wine. He's so overprotective sometimes).
I gave up smoking & drinking when I found out I was pregnant & I won't touch either at all until after I have the baby. Personally I feel this baby is a hell of a lot more important then satisfying my need to have a drink ! I love this baby too much to ever put his/her health at risk in ANY way !
I had a few sips of prosecco yesterday and a few sips of wine the night before. That said, I don't worry that those sips are endangering my LO or putting his/her health at risk in ANY way.
There actually aren't any good quality studies that pinpoint a safe amount of alcohol during pregnancy. Saying a glass or two a day is safe isn't based on evidence. Personally I prefer to abstain while I'm pregnant to be safe. It's temporary. Not that it wasn't hard yesterday with all the wine flowing, especially when I was a daily wine drinker!
I feel like if I gave in on even one sip it'd be hard for me not too start smoking again. I don't know if that makes any sense. But I'm missing smoking and doing a "pregnancy no no" would probably make me want to bend the rules for smoking.
I didn't have any during the meal, no. I'm still having some nausea so I didn't want to push it since I was already trying to eat food. I did have a few sips of my friends' glasses of wine last night at my 10 year high school reunion because I wasn't feeling sick. Best part was not having to pay for my own glass
