Another school shooting last night, this time at FSU. Thankfully the police responded quickly, and it was late at night, so the amount of people on campus was small compared to what it is in the middle of the day. Thoughts and prayers that the three injured make healthy and fast recoveries, and that a major tragedy was avoided.

I thought you could if you had a good reason, I just didn't know it left deleted user behind like that. I thought it just took them out. You deleted your previous account right @jessafishy‌ ? No...I know who that was. This chick always had the pictures of her standing in front of the window and I think they were B&W and she wore a tank top usually with a braid in her hair. She was flawless. Damn, I sound like a major creeper for remembering all this. They really were beautiful pictures.

Someone I know is planning her TTC time with a break in trying around a month-long trip overseas so that she isn't in the first tri when she travels because she doesn't want to have morning sickness on the trip but if she falls pregnant straight away, she'll still travel in the 2nd or 3rd tri. She's also convinced that it's going to happen within the first 3 months trying and has planned the next year and a half of her life based on this assumption.

The whole experience is going to be a massive shock to her since she's used to having rigid plans that never, ever go wrong or change unexpectedly and also she's convinced that pregnancy is textbook and predictable. Good luck to her, I hope she gets her BFP quickly and has an easy pregnancy but I also hope she's ok when something doesn't happen exactly as she'd planned because she seems like the type to have a complete meltdown.

HA! She'd get so flamed. She'd just leave in a mood though, she doesn't take it well when someone corrects her.

She's the one who likes telling myself and the other parents/moms-to-be exactly what's going on/why and also criticising our parenting decisions because she's read some stuff about pregnancy and kids so clearly knows better.

I'm so hateful of the Merry Christmas vs Happy Holidays debate.

They are all well-wishes and I can't find anything offensive in wishing someone a Merry Christmas/Happy Holiday/Joyous Kwanzaa or Jolly Tuesdaymakkuh. I say Happy Holidays but I don't do it as an assertion of any sort of political or religious statement. And I am not Jewish, but if someone wishes me a Happy Hanukkah, I still think that's a nice thing to do and I say "Thank You". I just don't understand how it's a thing to get riled up about.

I think maybe the only thing that would've stood out about me is I always took my HDBD pics in my nursery? But I really didn't take a ton of them, so maybe not

That is weird. Good I guess though in your situation since I think that's what you wanted with everything that went down. I bet with litera deleting her account it makes the newb in town thread look a lot more confusing to someone who hasn't read it before. Like something big is missing.

Absolutely. And there's definitely a difference between the 2 that you know. DS will fuss sometimes when we put him to bed, but rarely actually cries. The other night was full on crying so I went to him almost immediately. DH asked why I went since we usually let him be. Um, hello? Couldn't you hear the difference?

DD gets to full on crying much more quickly, so that's been tougher, but there's still a clear difference.

@jnnfrrose6‌ if you doing the Young Living ones, the baby wash and shampoo are really nice. Also the Thieves cleaner. Thieves stuff is the one thing my husband actually likes/uses besides the baby wash.

@iheartmyshiba Yep, that's the brand I use. I love using thieves around the house. It's what I use to clean up some of our dogs' messes. I've also used purification in DS's humidifier when he was sick and I like to keep Peace & Calming around just for, you know, peace and calming. The peppermint helped me with morning sickness last go round and frankincense for my stretch marks. I've been wanting to get the baby stuff and just haven't yet. I think you may have pushed me over the edge for it

So most of the blends bother me. We only kept the "common/known/whatever" ones like peppermint, lemon- things you could buy at the store or are common smells. Also- I'm pretty sure my dog is allergic to Frankincense. He would go on sneezing fits when I put it in the diffuser. That one went home with Grandma.

My dh hates the essential oils I use, he says it flares up his allergies.

I love Gentle Baby and have had good results using it on my son age 5 and DD 5 months. I swear Thieves can keep a cold from getting worse, I use the hand foaming soap by YL. I also used peppermint oil in my tea and beat a throat infection in a few days.

DD has transitioned out of "grab and pull" and into "grab, twist and pull" which makes it even harder to disentangle her hand from my hair, peoples' faces etc.
