The clots are freaking me out

Sorry for the TMI... I am 9 wks pg and going through a natural m/c. ?My ultrsounds showed I never progressed beyond 4 weeks, 4 days pg, and it just took a LONG time for the m/c to come (I've been waiting about 3 wks). I guess I wrongly figured that when it finally came it would be merely like a period since I wasn't very far along. ?But, oh my, there is A LOT of clotting, once even as big as a peach and very vascular, red/grey tissue matter (again, sorry TMI). ?It's kind of freaking me out.?

How long did you pass clots before your m/c just turned into bleeding more like a period? ?I am supposed to go to work tomorrow but I am not sure if I can handle this amount of clotting/bleeding at work.?

    I passed tissue twice today, one smallish and one the size of a prune. I had an U/S this afternoon and there was nothing left... the bleeding is pretty light now. I was 9 1/2 wks but it all went really fast for me - spotting started Saturday - so that probably doesn't help you much, sorry.

    Can you get a follow-up U/S to see if there is still remaining tissue?

    i didnt have a natural m/c, but just wanted to let you know that i'm sorry for your loss and that you are having to deal with all the bleeding and clots...i can only imagine that it's pretty disturbing, especially to deal with it at work. ?I hope it ends soon so you can start to move on.

    I was 4w2d. ?I had bad cramps at 1 in the morning, took a sleeping pill, woke up at 6 and passed a bunch of big clots (I had passed some some smaller ones earlier). ?I passed a few smaller ones as the day went on and then it just turned to bleeding. ? HTH. ?Sorry you're going through this....

    I am so sorry...my baby's age was similar to yours.  I had two horrible days of passing clots but then it turned into a heavy period.  I've also gushed blood which is unusual for me, but at 10 days since the spotting started, I'm back to spotting again.

    Hang in there...it's so hard to see it.  Mine was also weird colors... 

    I also suggest calling in sick tomorrow. GL...

    My fetal age is about the same and I have been bleeding for 10 days now with no clots (spotting for 4 before that).

    I am so sorry for your loss.  I had about 6 days off and on -- with the first day being the worst for the large clots.  I did have another bleeding episode a few weeks later and some more tissue came out then.  I am sorry it is freaking you out.  Be assured it is 100% normal.  I wish that the doctors would be upfront and tell you this before you have to go through this!  The good news is that being as far along as you were measuring your sac was probably really small and it will most likely pass with the clots.

    Ditto this.  My levels are still really high and I had a D&C and they hope I pass more clots.  Hopefully it will end for you soon.  ((HUGS))

    I would trust what Jeffrae says, she was a huge source of info for me and super helpful when I was going through m/c.  I would take tomorrow off work just to be on the safe side.  I ended up having d&c because I was bleeding too much and the sac got stuck (i was further along than you-it was about the size of a golfball/egg).  I bled heavily for 2 days with alot of big clots for about a day and a half prior to my d&c.  I was told if you bleed through more than one pad per hour for more than 3 hours to go to the ER.  Jeffrae I think had some pretty serious bleeding but didnt have to go the ER.  If the clots and bleeding are worrying you I would call the doc just to be sure you know when its time to worry.

    I would take off- when I started to miscarry naturally my heaviest bleeding/clot day I would not have wanted to be at work.  I had 2 really heavy days, but ended up with the D & E this weekend because my body didn't get it all out.  Good luck and I am so sorry!!!
