gates for stairs

I'm having so much trouble finding a gate for our stairs. The bottom is 45 in wide, but the banister is skinny and doesn't line up to the wall. The top is a smaller area and can be done wall to wall so that's easy. Finding the bottom one is the killer part. Banisters are white. Any recs?

Funny! That was my idea, but I wanted to see if others had installed the same way and which ones they used. The one we purchased the other day would not fit the skinny rails so we had to take it back.

Ah thanks for the pics. Yes, install up one or two stairs. I'll take a pic tomorrow for you of ours, we were in the same situation. We used a pressure fit since it was going up stairs, and my DH built a piece of wood for the railing end so it fit properly. I'll show you what I mean in the pic
