I just spent the day rigging an elaborate ventilation system for my tiny art studio. I didn't much care about the turpentine fumes before, which would always leave me a little dizzy and giddy if I spent too many hours painting. But I figure at least *trying* not to inhale concentrated neurotoxins would be a wise plan for the next few months. This rig is ridiculous and loud, but it smells pristine in there now. I may just keep it.
So,,,what are your hobbies?
Have you had to modify them?

Re: Well, no more getting high as balls. Fiiine.
I also like to read and binge watch Netflix.
I always wanted a hobby like painting or drawing, but I never gave it a chance.
DH and I are into backpacking but that's a spring/summer/fall activity for us.
I'm giving up on the whole signature thing.
Also, softball and golf. So I'm super sad I won't be playing softball in the spring and wondering if I'll still be able to swing a club with a watermelon in my midsection. Even the dogs jump and pounce so that hobby is still a bit dangerous while pregnant.
I used to be a big reader. Loved memoirs and nonfiction. Maybe once school is done I will get back into it
On the rare occasion he lets me do something alone, I online shop, read if I have a book that interests me, and occasionally sew when my basement isn't completely torn apart.
Physical activities include dancing, Zumba, and hula hooping! This month I WAS gonna start training to do a Tough Mudder around April/May but it looks like that's outta the picture! Lol!
My current projects are making Christmas gifts for my friends and fam, painting my old furniture to match, and reorganizing the house to have space for a little one!
Edit: I did buy a respirator mask, but it's so annoying to paint with I will probably just have to skip out for now.
I also love shopping for our small house on Craigslist and I LOVE bumping.
I ride and train horses, but that's my job as well. We supply horses and other animals for film work.
To the ladies that have already stopped riding, can I ask why?
I have had 2 miscarriages not related to riding at all and my dr has still told me to ride until I feel uncomfortable.
But really, I do enjoy training and running for half marathons. I've done 5. Last pregnancy I did not run due to a variety of issues. This time I plan to walk and hike. Right now I don't feel well enough to do much.
If TV is a hobby, I love all the bad TV. Greys and anything reality on HGTV, TLC, etc.

Photography is what I got my degree in as I couldn't make the music education program work with a full time day job and an infant, but wanted to stay in an arts program. I enjoy it...but I think working in it has taken my love for it away a bit. But its still nice to be able to have that as a backup source of income. I am cutting back right now because I need to redo the heating system in my studio and don't have the energy to do it, so I'm turning down winter clients, and by spring I'll be too far along I think to really give a good shoot, so its on hold until at least after mat leave.
