  • @umbcpt‌ cute pics, and of course cute kids too!

@dorothygale01‌ I don't mind the new name, but if you are going to change it it should be something with Sugah in it. (Sugahpie01 maybe?). I'm so used to calling you Sugah! Dorothy is definitely a little more difficult to tag.

  • @dorothygale01 I thought I saw somewhere that it was the cookie part that they were able to figure it out with.  I miss the blue cookies too!  It took forever after you changed from pink to get used to seeing your avatar being blue, but now anytime I see that blue in the avatar box, I immediately think it's you. ;)   What can I say, I love me some Sugah!    It's cool that you came up with another name that you love. And that's the important part, if you love the name stick with it.

    Depends on the child.
DS was 8lbs 7oz and 21.5 inches and wore newborn for almost 3 months.

I was glad a bought a few sleepers and onesies in newborn and then when I realized that's what he fit into I went out and bought more.

  • Sug, I love the updated name. I was also comfused at first but quickly figured it out. We can still call you Sug right?

So I am currently debating buying this coat:
    https://m.hm.com/us/product/40834?article=40834-B#mediaType=FASHION_FRONT

It seems warm, and super inexpensive... but I can't decide if it is so shiny (sheen-y?) or not. Opinions ladies? I also figured I'd link it incase anyone liked it.

  • @jmcgra06‌ what the hell??? No one offered their seat to the pregnant lady? Seriously?? That is ridiculous. I'm sure there were at least a few kids taking up chairs. Kids love the floor. I cannot imagine. ETA I saw the older person offered. What a sweetie. The rest of that waiting room needs to learn some damned manners.
     What is wrong with people?
  • Back on the floor. The only person that offered his chair is about 100 years old and has a cane, so I just can't. I'm freaking killing this test, though. I brought a glocose meter (because I'm crazy) and the first two readings are looking good! Spinach and artichoke dip sounds amazing. All food sounds amazing.
Why don't people have manners anymore???! What jerks!!! You better make a HUGE production about trying to get up and down.
Similar thing happened to me at school the they day. I set my water down at the only chair unstacked at a table to go wash my hands and another teacher comes and says "I'm taking your chair because I'm too lazy to get my own." I replied with "well that's awfully nice of you to make the pregnant lady unstack another chair. Thanks." And I left. I can't deal with her. And the stacks are like 7 big chairs high. There's no way I could get one down. Another teacher offered but I was so mad I just left. Raging hormones i know- but still!
Seriously? She's lucky she didn't get punched.

Morning. I have to work 4 hours then have lunch with a friend then my work Xmas party tonight... I just want to go back to bed Serious question. Gross tmi. But Is anyone else pooping more than normal? All of first and second tri I have had the runs off and on (no constipation) and I would poop 2 times a day but not much. Now I poop at least 5 times a day. And it's normal poop and sometimes huge. I wake up in the middle of the night. I do eat a lot of fruits and veggies but no more good then usual. And I swear, way more comes out then I put in! Every time I put anything in my mouth 5 min later I have to go. Oh well I mean it's better than being constipated but geeze.
I am going through the same thing right now. I am going to talk to my doctor Tuesday. It is to the point where I am getting my old ibs symptoms back. I first was thinking maybe it was because I had started eating gluten again bit then I took it back out of my diet and it is still happening. It sucks!!!! I feel your pain. @Alygohome‌
@paleomama I'm wondering about the IBS/gluten thing. I have thought for years that I have IBS, but this pregnancy is making me sick all the time and I wonder if it has more to do with the fact that I eat lots of bread, leading me to believe the gluten thing is real. I'm trying to cut back (but for some reason having a hard time cutting out) gluten, but it's in everything! How long have you been gluten free? How can I make it easier and not so expensive? I have seen GI, family docs, etc. and no one has mentioned that maybe I should stop gluten, it's just something that I'm trying to see if that helps. Any tips?
  • I was a year and a half gluten free before the second trimester. All my ibs symptoms had gone away. The only way I found out was an elimination diet that my husband recommended I do. I have been to all the doctors too. The paleo books are awesome!!!! Costco has gluten free bread now. More and more there are gluten free options out there. It is going to be more expensive than wheat now matter what. Making home cooked meals is the best way to go cheaper and getting whatever you can at a wholesale store. Costco also has almond flour and gluten free flour. You really have to give it at least a month for most of the symptoms to go away. I also take probiotics. Good books- against all grains and nom nom paleo. You can find these books at costco as well. Also you can follow them on Facebook for recipes. Hope this helps.
  • @twinklymama‌ the only way I found out about my gluten intolerance was because I went to a naturopath(sp?) she did a blood test on me that teSts for allergens that present themselves after a 24 hr period. I also did the elimination diet which was extremely hard but now that I know what is causing my stomach issues (gluten, egg and corn) I can stay away from them or do my best to. It's hard but there are so many great resources out there now and so many places that offer gluten free options.

I'm just trying what I guess you could call an elimination diet. Unfortunately, PIZZA is my fav food of all time and it makes me soooo sick within about 20 min of eating it. Sad. Just knowing I can come to you and paleomama makes it feel less scary. THANK YOU!

On that note; what do you guys do for pizza @paleomama @dbjackson25?

If I go out I have them do it on gluten free crust. It can be expensive because they charge extra. At home my husband makes the crust out of cauliflower. It is so good!!! @twinklymama‌
  • Sad note: I made all of those beautiful peanut blossom cookies and in my rush to put them away pregclumsiness ruined some of the cookies. I bumped the cooling racks I was trying to hide in the microwave from curious tall doggies. DAMN CLUMSINESS!! Why don't my hands work anymore????

My new cool cut. It has been way too long. Sorry if I looked pissed. I suck at taking selfies.

Super cute cut! I love A-Lines and wore several different styles of it for the past 2 years. It was very bittersweet for me when I cut my "tails" off a few weeks ago to grow out a bob. Rock that sassy new do! :)

  • @twinklymama‌ I have done a zucchini crust too and it was pretty tasty! Amy's (in the freezer section of the grocery store) makes a pretty good gluten free pizza and i love their gluten free burritos. My local grocery store and Walmart with the grocery store (super Walmart?) also have gluten free sections in the aisles.

I have Celiac's disease which I found out about three years ago. Mellow Mushroom is good for gluten free pizza. I had recently heard that Dominio's can do gluten free pizza, but since cross contamination can destroy me, I haven't chanced it yet.

There are some decent gluten free dough mixes out there. I get some of my stuff on Amazon too.

Do you have a pie five. They are super careful about handling gluten free. I feel people shouldn't label things gluten free unless there is no cross contamination. That could be dangerous for someone with celiacs disease
