A "healthy" weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week (so25-50 pounds in 6 months) 60 is probably doable, but it would be really hard. You'll lose a lot the first month or so and then it will most likely level off.
I think it might also depend on how much weight you have to lose. If you were really morbidly obese and had, say, 200 pounds to lose, I think a healthy diet and a lot of exercise might have a quicker effect than it does on someone smaller (as you appear to be). Those people on "The Biggest Loser" lose 10+ pounds a week sometimes, but they work out 6-8 hours a day and wear calorie monitors that track their intake and everything, so it's super-extreme...and they usually start out extremely obese, with those who weigh more losing faster than the others. Anyway, good luck and congrats on what you're doing--that's a much bigger commitment than I've ever made!
Try to be easy on yourself. Remember, the slower it comes off, the more likely it is to stay off. Aim to lose 1-2 pounds per week and you'll be doing really, really well.
Also remember to set goals that don't involve the numbers on the scale so you don't get too discouraged if you don't lose (or even gain) some weeks. Think about how you want to feel, look, how you want your clothes to fit (or even what size you'd like to be), etc.

I lost 60 lbs. from my highest pregnancy weight in 5 months, but it was pregnancy weight some of which came off fast and I as BFing which gave me a boost. I had given myself a year to lose it and I think that's more realistic. I didn't want to put pressure on myself and I was afraid I would be discouraged if I didn't give myself enough time.
Yes. The most we recommend is 2 pounds a week and that equals almost 50 pounds. It is better to do it slow so you will keep it off. But some do lose a lot in the beginning- like 5 pounds a week- because it is water weight.
not sure. i know that people lose more weight in the beginning than the end. talk to doc or ww professional to see if it's doable - i think you can do it.
