6 week US turned into ectopic nightmare

please send positive thoughts my way as I just had one of the hardest moments of my life.
This morning my husband and I went in for our 6 week US that I suggested to our OB nurse just to clear my anxieties of actually seeing something before our OB U/S in January. The tech brought us right back and was very cheerful. When she started to check my pelvic areas she instantly had a blank look on her face. I knew something was not right. We were sent up to the on all OB doc which he stated we were going through an ectopic pregnancy. I was rushed into emergency surgery, which lasted over an hour. My right tube was partially removed and my left seemed to be still good.
Ladies.. I had no bleeding syntoms at all. Two nights ago, I woke up at 2 am with sharp pains in the pelvic area. It was so bad that I was in a crodle position and almost called the ambulance. I was able to fall asleep. The next morning I had on and off again cramping but nothing like the day before. This continued until I had the U/S today, and honestly I thought everything was fine.
My blood work from days before came back great, the nurse actually suggested me not having an U:S because my numbers were so well, and I just felt pregnant.
If I would of waited until Jan for my original ultra sound, who knows what would of happened or If I would even be here today.
Please Always check with your body and your syntoms, the typical cramping could be leading to something else. I knew that night that the cramping was very different from other weeks.
I say goodbye today at 6 weeks 6 days and hope for the best.
Has anyone had this happen and have a successful pregnacy after?

So nerve wrecking and stressful! I've had constant period pain since but nothing like the intense 20min cramp I had that night! I've been using a heat Pack every day/night!

The OB does want me to see him in four weeks. My husband asked if we can start trying again and the doctor said yes after my first cycle passes. I was unsure on this as well, since most of the blogs and research I found have females wait three months. Another question to ask the OB I guess
