Because it's Friday and I'm up pumping...

I went for a nap around 9 and planned to wake at 11 to pump so my husband was watching LO. He said he'd feed him when the time came and wash my pump parts that were in the sink. At 10:30 I woke up to the baby crying and after a minute or so of still hearing the baby crying, I went downstairs. My husband was passed out on the couch and his head was literally inches from the babies. How can you not hear him crying?!?! I don't get it. I sent him to bed for the night. After I fed and changed LO, I went to grab my pump stuff and lo and behold - ALL DIRTY! I cried while I washed. Oye.

Anyone else feel like the phrase "Thank god it's Friday" has lost some of its gusto? Happy Friday nonetheless.

Yes! DH has been holding LO between my first two evening feeds (usually about 8-11pm) so I can get a bit of sleep then he goes to bed since he is back to work. My alarm didn't go off so DH finally woke me up at midnight. I felt bad for DH at first then I was happy I got some extra sleep. Then DS screamed after his midnight feed for an hour... I guess that is my pay back.

I am up at 3:00 puking. Second round of it, the first was at midnight. Yay for a stomach bug! Now to keep the rest of the house healthy.

@heisenberg‌ that's so frustrating and a total mind f. I'm glad you didn't have to have a c section though.

Membrane sweeps mess with my head. I have been fine all day, no bleeding, no cramping from it. Woke up to some blood and mucous just now. But now I can't tell if it's my "show" or if it's just crap from this morning. Grrrr. I really don't want to be induced on Monday.

@NinerGirl52‌ this has been my first week at home and although parts of it have been challenging, it has been my best week so far with LO. I feel like the two of us have bonded even more and have got in our own groove. Plus I control the tv remote!

I was really depressed after my midwife appt. yesterday...after a week of irregular contractions...no dilation, nothing. Still a high, firm cervix. Ugh. I am now officially 5 days past my due date, surely something should be happening??!! I am so terrified of having to be induced.

Yes to my husband sleeping through everything. Sometimes he'll even sleep through his alarm until it shuts itself off! Insane. He tried to hit snooze the one & only time he was awakened by baby cries, haha! Then when his alarm went off, he asked what that noise was. I told him it was his alarm & he asked why I didn't wake him up. Umm... because it just did? You know, like it is supposed to? Silly men.

@bethas we use a national chain daycare and have been very pleased. They have a great curriculum and a standard of protocols. They have a lot of resources for the teachers. We love it!

^^ try pumping to get the engorgement down and then offer him the boob. Mine were so engorged in the beginning that I couldn't get anything out. I feel your pain!!

Oh! Also, cold compresses helped a ton and hot showers. That all got rid of my swelling/engorment. Good luck my dear

Can someone please tell my MIL that she doesn't need to call every day, we'll call her when something is happening and she needs to know??!! I am five days overdue, ma'am, and I don't need you calling every freakin' day to remind me, and ask if I'm dilated yet. The size of my cervix is my business and I'll tell who I want to, not everyone who asks. I am so done with this! X(
And then I feel bad, because even though she is a little overbearing (ok, a lot) I think she means well. I just want to be left alone....

Hugs to everyone that needs them. I got only a couple hours of sleep last night, because DD screamed and threw a fit every time I nursed one of the boys, so they weren't going back to sleep and then I put them back into their beds too soon and they would wake up a few minutes later.

Hugs to everyone who needs it. Mastitis is no joke! Ouch, i had it twice with ds. So my cesarean is this next Tue the 25th and i'm officially freaking out. I made a list last night of everything that needs to get done and i want accomplish before Tue. It's a long list. I'm such a procrastinator. Sometimes i think i need the pressure to really get things done. I'm also mourning the last weekend of my son being an only. We are very close, he's a mamas boy, and i worry about how he will be affected by sibling. I know it will be an adjustment and before i know it he won't remember a time without sister. It will be ok, but i still worry. We're going to do some really fun stuff this weekend a as family of three for the last time. : ) I'm so ready for Luna to be here, but at the same time can't believe it's here already. At least i feel confident in my ability to raise a newborn,i didn't feel this way with ds.. Well thanks for letting me ramble : )

Family drama again. It never seems to end. My brother called last night as DH and I were preparing for bed and asked us to come pick him up and sleep at our place, because his girlfriend/mother of my nephew attacked him again and the police told them that they needed to separate for the night. This is so hard to keep watching this play out over and over again. I know I can't force him to get help, but I wish he'd think about my nephew and how this is impacting him, rather than feeling sorry for her. I know when I pick him up from work today, he'll probably ask me to drive him back home to her and I'll cry the whole way home. THIS SUCKS.

The good thing is that my husband has been so supportive and handling things for me, telling me that I just need to rest and take care of our baby. It makes me want to cry thinking about all the things he has done for me and how he puts up with all my crazy family drama.

Hugs mamas who are having booby issues! I hope you all can get some relief soon.

At Kaitlyn's 2 week check up yesterday she was up 6 ozs from when she left the hospital and 5 ozs heavier than her birth weight.

And today she is rocking her very first clothing outfit - onesie and skinny jeans

Since we came home from the hospital she has been in footies.

@wolkie I'm having the same issue. My left boob was a slacker when I first started to pump and now it's producing at least 0.5 oz more than the right boob. From my research, it's normal for one to produce more than the other.

It's just as hard to watch loved ones stuck in an abusive cycle as it is to live it in that when you're part of the problem you might find the strength to use your power to stop it one day. As an outsider you just have to keep loving, hoping, supporting, and offering safety.
Be sure to take care of yourself, too!

We were worried about baby jack and his weight because he went from 9lb 5oz at birth to 8 lb on day 3. Well, now at day 8 my little beefer is back up to 9lb...he gained 11oz in 3 days! Mommy is so proud of her fatty bo batty!

I just took the longest most relaxing shower and even shaved my legs! LO slept through the entire thing and is still sleeping!
Better hurry up and get some stuff done around the house before he demands all my attention

Just stepping in to say hello to all of you wonderful moms and moms to be!
I am sure I'll be more active after Thanksgiving when my family leaves and it's just me and my girls at home.
But I wanted to say I think of all of you often (especially when I am burping Mikayla in the middle of night praying that she will stop screaming).

My mom is here "helping me" since I got out of the hospital and DH can't afford to take anymore time off work. I love my mom to death but really thought she would be much more help than she is being.

I have a pounding headache that I have tried everything to get rid of. I can only take certain things since I'm on the lovenox.

And worst of all I'm having the worst "post trauma " episodes every time I go the bathroom...I keep having flash backs and terrified I'm going to bleed again. I'm on so many iron pills to get my hemoglobin back up and they make me constipated. Well this morning when I was trying to poop I bled a little and immediately started flipping out and crying uncontrollably. Thankfully it wasn't much and haven't had any since.

I LOVE seeing everyone's babies on this board. Us November mommas sure make some beautiful babies! I love hanging out here I just feel like I have so many great friends! I don't have any friends that actually live close to me they all live very far so it's nice to at least have these November mommas to talk to.

Hi ladies hope you're all having a good Friday. I'm suppose to be induced today at 3 and I call the hospital and they tell me my times been pushed back. They don't have a definite time for me to come in and get the process starting. Had a feeling this was going to happen

Glad to hear you are still on the mend! I can't imagine how scary it must be for you to have those flashbacks. I have no advice, only wanted to say that we are here for you any time you need to vent! Hopefully with time those memories will fade somewhat. In the meantime, hang in there and know we are all here for you!

@FhSTAR81‌ Our ped told us that once LO was back to birth weight and having regular poops and pees we no longer needed to keep track of everything (had to be super diligent in the beginning because of high weight loss, jaundice, etc). I would assume if everything seems to be on track that you wouldn't need to keep a record any more
