@mrshudson618 >:D< I hope today and tonight goes much more smoothly for you guys!!
DH sleeps through everything as well. It sucks. At first I thought he was faking it. But then just a few weeks ago when LO was sick, he fell asleep right next to us by the rocker. I chucked a book at his face to wake him up and he didn't even budge. :-/
DH and I are headed to the airport. On our way to see our baby! And then take a 3 hour drive to Lynchburg... Long day. Of course FL would have the best weather the day we leave.
@valstulas that story is seriously ridiculous but congrats on building a house!
Someone could break into our house and take everything but the bed and DH would sleep through it. Sometimes I think if he was rolled the right way, they could get the bed too.
If you're lucky, they'll take him with the bed! :P
My mil and sil are sleeping on the pullout couch in our living room instead of the freshly laundered , queen size GUEST ROOM BED. I don't even know how that happened. #-o
How annoying! Why are they so picky?
I wish I knew. :-q . Apparently I'm having my morning tea with a dose of racism via my mil. Apparently if you have dark brunette/black hair you're an "Arab". %-( Sil and i teamed up and gave her a verbal slap for that comment.
@casey78 yay for good results! and next time he complains, remind him that Lucas had to go without eating until mid afternoon last time we went to the OR, so suck it up Mr. Casey [-X

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
@gutsymama I remind him that I was 2w pp and had to go 4 days NPO (even water). He brought starbucks, chipotle, Taco Bell, and cookies into the hospital room with me. I never complained.
Mr. Casey! You should be ashamed of yourself. [-X

Eli is playing in his room with his tool bench and tools, Scarlett is doing a puzzle, I'm making lunch and my house is quiet. Who are these children?? Can they stay here forever??
I have the opposite problem. My kid is obsessed with putting things "back". She says "bah" as she puts objects where they go. It's super helpful most of the time. The issue is for things that she can't put back herself, or will never (easily) go back in. Like when she spills a bit of puree from a pouch. Or pulls a towel down from the rack and can't reach. Full on meltdown :-SS
@casey78 holly crap! O.O looks like a poster from the next end of the world movie
@mrshudson618>:D< I'm sorry your night was awful, I can imagine it's difficult enough to care for 2 babies and then DH passes out just like that on the most hectic moment. I am sorry for C but it's really not your fault, at the moment you didn't even know your H was not in the room. Shit happens, I just hope now your H will wait 5 minutes before putting his head in the pillow :P
I am off to prepare dinner, I did read through the whole thing... I send coffee to the sleepy mamas... I caught a cold so I napped with LO but I still have a horrible headache... my FIL is here for the weekend so I won't be able to stay in PJs and try to recover...

We had a chat with mil about how her comment was so very racist and just because someone has dark hair doesn't mean they are an "Arab" and that the specific fellow she was referring to is in fact Irish. Also, don't call someone an Arab, dark hair doesn't mean they are from the Middle East, and if they are from the Middle East, it doesn't mean they are a terrorist. Welcome to 2014 mil. It's not even noon yet guys.... Where is my wine???
My kid is such a social butterfly. Usually in story time she crawled away from me and sits in the middle of the room. Today she sat by another little girl, then went to a random lady and stood up to hug her and then sat in her lap. After story time she crawled to a lady and made her read her a book while she turned the pages.
Also I think she is past the spitting up stage. \:D/
I've been MIA because busy. Update on Eliza, we took her in and the doc said that if kids get sick it can throw off all the juices in their stomach and it can take a couple of days for it to balance out. If they have food in their stomach when they go to bed it doesn't digest properly because of imbalance and so it has to come back up. She gave us some zofran and she hasn't had a problem since Tuesday. YAY!
I got into an argument with a coworker about this past winter. A few of commented that it was awful and we didn't want a repeat and he said it was statistically mild and he hoped for another year like that. That globally it was warmer last year so that must translate to our area as well and so we all thought he was nuts. It was awful. We tried to provide sources and he dug in. So I emailed our weatherman from one of the local news stations. He emailed me back. I was proven right. I forwarded the email to said coworker. He then called me names.
I'm a few episodes behind on HTGAWM. I need to catch up.
Queenbone,
I was going to say, the witch on Grimm is supposed to look young. But she is a grandma. She's just a gorgeous young grandmother. Her "son" looks the same age as she does. I'm so excited to see your episodes!! I'm loving that they picked your house. Can I say I have a friend in Portland that had her house used for the show? I may tell everyone on facebook to watch.
@mrshudson618 oh no! I would be livid too. If you are busy with one babe, he should be responsible for the other. It makes ragey to hear LO sob like that and H doesn't immediately comfort her. I see red. I hope the sleeping gets better for you all soon >:D<

I think the episode featuring our house is supposed to air the end of Jan. And the exterior shots might be a cliff hanger, like the wife lady knocking on our door all "give me the potion!" and then the next episode will be inside my house. Allegedly.
We can't change anything in the house until after they come back to film in Jan. I had one tiny little wall that I was going to paint myself, but hadn't gotten to it yet after the wallpaper was hung. I didn't want it to be the old paint color for Christmas parties, so I had to crank out painting it last Friday. They totally stand in front of my blue wall for a dialog exchange before going into the 'potion room.'

I can only dream to be this pretty when I am a grandma!

It is NOT who I thought it was then! I have no idea who that is and now I'm more intrigued. Hmmm.

DH was annoyed this morning because I didn't turn up the monitor before I left for work and he couldn't hear Oliver.

I'm sorry you sleep through everything.
DH is the same way!!! He never knows what happens at night. Once when Allison was four months I attempted to get him up because I was exhausted. It was 25x more work to wake his butt up then to just go get the baby.
@mrshudson618 So sorry. It is awful to hear a baby bawling and be occupied with the other. My DH was sick this week and it was driving me crazy because his response time to crying was slow. Hope your babes sleep more soundly tonight.
@Rmnam1 Totally know what you mean about baby constantly wanting to nurse. Mine too. Hope you survived that and two crazy 4 year olds--mine was off the wall tonight.
@Byjove03 hope your lo lets you get a foot away soon.
I woke up still sick and took a sick day...slept all morning. I think I might finally be coming around.
Is it bad that I am so accustomed to finding random toys in inappropriate places that it doesn't even register anymore? (E.g Of course there's a superhero hanging from the dishdrainer...why wouldn't there be?)

@sparkymcgee I was watching Grey's last night and thinking the same thing!! I felt so sad after last night's episode.
@queenbone I don't even watch Grimm but I totally will when your house episode comes on! How cool!

@lizabethann06 >:D< doctors need to read the chart.
@ramy3 @biggunsbo love the stories of mama-son dates. I need to do this soon with my nearly-four guy.
@casey78 crazy snow pic and cute Leah story.
