Sweet potatoes for sure. My family loves them and they are always covered in butter and brown sugar.. I have always hated them.
After reading this thread I'm feeling questionable about green bean casserole in my current queasy state. Eek.
But bring on mashed potatoes, REAL stuffing (ack to stovetop, ew) and pie! Yum yum yum. Thankfully we are telling family at thanksgiving so I have a clear excuse to over-indulge

Stuffing. I always have to make it because everyone loves it, but it's so gross. I tried making it without onions to see if maybe I would like it that way, still a no go for me.
Mashed sweet potatoes are awful too, I hate when there's squash as well and I mix the two up. Squash = fantastic, sweet potatoes = worst,
And when people ruin things with onions. THEY DONT BELONG IN EVERYTHING! I don't know why people feel the need to put them in otherwise delicious foods. Gag.

OMG This board is making me hungry. I will eat literally all the things. I would be more than happy to eat all the stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce and pies that you guys do not want. The only thing that doesn't get a spot on my plate is my mom's Brussels sprouts. I feel like she makes them as a joke because they sit untouched and lonely year after year.
I used to hate cranberry sauce, but then I found a homemade recipe that I actually like in moderation. Possibly because it tastes more like oranges than cranberries.
I HATE dressing/stuffing. Nasty as heck. I actually completely forgot to put it on our menu (for those gross family members that like it) until I read this thread...
Also not a big fan of pecan pie, though we usually only have that for Christmas anyway.
I'm surprised so many people don't like cranberry sauce! Who knew? I love the stuff and have made it myself a few times (cranberries, OJ, and sugar- basically boil until the cranberries pop).
I will 2nd or 7th, whatever the count is about the damn sweet potatoes! I have kept trying it but just don't like it. I very recently started liking sweet potato fries, but that casserole stuff with the marshmallows and pecans... Yea, no thanx!

However I will eat all the stuffing and the disgusting blob of jellied cranberry sauce. Faves.
That is not thanksgiving. That is hell.
One thing I can barely look at at my Gram's is the pickled beets.
