Hmmmm

I would dislike living in a warm climate (So Cali, FL etc) because I love experiencing four seasons. I don't mind this cold weather.

Although I am thankful I don't live in upstate NY. Yikes!!

Agreed. Anyone who has had to drive with my 79 year old grandfather would agree. Last winter, he came to a complete stop on an on ramp at night, in the snow, while being followed by a semi, because he couldn't see which way the road turned.

I've got one that I think might be unpopular. I don't think ANYONE should ask to be an overnight houseguest of people with a baby under 6 months. Family included. It's a burden, period. Not really an opinion, just how I was raised. Or they at least shouldn't ASSUME, and should be understanding if you ask them to get a hotel.

ooohh no wait I thought of a better one. And I bet this is going to piss off a bunch of people on this board lol but it's something that has been bugging the CRAP out of me this week.

I hate direct sales companies. Mary Kay, Scentsy, Pampered Chef, 21, Origami Owl, Rodan and Fields, need I go on?

1. It tries to make sales by taking advantage of friendships and social relationships. Not cool. I find it VERY awkward to turn down party requests from my friends.

2. The online party craze. That's F'ed up. You dont even want to bother to have me to your house and feed me snacks, but you want me to make you money?? Nope.

3. FACEBOOK SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR ADVERTISING! That's not fair. I don't want my newsfeed covered in ads. You aren't supposed to do that, it's spam, but if your friend makes their status an add theres nothing you can do about it.

Just thinking about it a lot as my facebook feed is flooded with christmas advertisements.

Well it was unpopular with my MIL last night who thought it was ok to tell one of DH's cousins she could stay at our house with them over Tgiving. Fight ensued, it was tons of fun.

I'm not in direct sales but I do technically sell insurance. I prefer to shut my mouth unless someone asks a question because i also find it annoying to be pushy. Cool if you make your money that way but not for me! I used to have a boss that would basically mind fuck people into buying things they didn't need because he had sales goals. It made me so uncomfortable...

UO: I don't think it's safe to sleep with the baby in our bed with us. I know there are safe ways to do it, and that plenty of people do it and their kids are just fine, but I refuse. Makes me too nervous.

One day over the summer she posted, "Who wants to buy some wraps! I need money to take my kid to the fair and if no one buys we can't afford to go!"

Awful. But I have purchased origami owl and scentsy. I also prefer "attending" online parties so I don't have to leave my house or wear a bra.

FFTC I often borrow DH's coat when I run errands, because you can't tell I'm not wearing a bra. My bra also lives downstairs because I take it off with my shoes when I walk through the door.

I don't think saying it implies that parenting a pet and parenting a pet are 100% the same. Different needs. An owner meets the needs of their pet in a capacity that is similar to a "parent" as much as one can "parent" an animal. Obviously parenting a child is a million times different.

ETA: I also think it's sort of a privileged stance. There are thousands of people who can't have kids and the closest they will ever come is their pet. If they want to refer to their pet as their "baby" I am not going to take that from them and I don't think they should be faulted for it. They aren't inferring that it's the exact same as parenting a human.

I know food UOs are lame, but this seems really unpopular around here. I can't stand McDonalds. I see people post about eating there or wanting to go there, and I just think its gross. :P

I don't care if other people want to call their pets their babies. I get it. I love my asshole pets so very much and I understand feeling like they are family.

What annoys me is when people call my pets my daughter's brothers/sisters. My dog is not my kid's brother. He is her dog.

It is gross. But that's the only fast food place within 15 min of us so that's what I get when we need something close by and easy. I wish it was a Wendys or Panera or something.

Not true. ..Fats Domino...it is a surname but a human name all the same,

I have purchased origami owl recently. DH made fun of me because I added our birthstones to my locket. He said he didn't realize I was that cheesy.

Also. My dog is my baby. His name is Rufus. But he is my lo's puppy not his brother.

I love that damn dog so much and once he almost lost his eye and u had to give him eye drops every hour for days. I was so distraught that my boss let me bring him to our office. BUT I can leaverify him in a kennel and not get arrested so there is that.

I used to do direct sales and it was very hard for me to ask my friends to have parties so that I could make money. That's probably why I wasn't successful!
