Inspired by @carriet2018 's Thanksgiving thread - I hate turkey, and have no problem leaving it off the Thanksgiving menu. DH, BIL and SIL agree, so we will be having our first bird-free (free bird?) Thanksgiving dinner this year.

I don't really get all the hype behind Kim Ks nekked pics. Like whatever, don't look. If you allow your kid to look at her as a role model, well that's the first problem. Omg she's a mom now, well that's her problem and she'll have to explain it to her daughter. Why do people waste their breath getting all worked up about something that everyone has seen before.

i havent seen the photo, nor do i care to. but i saw an article floating around (didnt read that either). that her pics were actually trying to replicate a photo done before that was racist or something? i dont know like i said i havent seen anything, i make it a point not to follow kim kardashian.

We always have ham for Christmas, but I would happily eat it for Thanksgiving in place of turkey. There is a local place that has a great honey baked ham. :bz

Don't eat turkey but bring on all the ham! We always have both for Thanksgiving and Christmas because well we fry turkey's and there has to be a meat for everyone. So for those of us not eating turkey, there is ham.

the picture replicated is not racist. she did these photos and the magazine spread for free because she wanted to work with this famed photographer. He is known for recreating iconic photos. The photo Kim replicated was initially done by an African American woman.

Can I add that I think all men's room's should have a changing table too! This is 2014 dad's can take the baby to places alone too. And what about single dad's, I mean they can't be walking around to find a strange woman to go take their baby to do that. And why should they have to go to the car just to be a good parent.

but going to the tabloids? seems like just in it for the money. FTR another topic i have no knowledge on other than the headline.

your guess is as good as mine, but i am under the impression that is the case. i dont think there is anything wrong with the relationship, and he shouldnt feel ashamed to hide it but i feel like that is giong behind his back assuming he doesnt know that was going to be said. i think relationships are based on trust and respect. and selling a story =/= that in IMO.

I had not heard of this Phelps thing, but I just read an article and the woman was actually born intersexed, not a man. #relevant However, she also seems a little nutty and is described as his 'self-proclaimed' girlfriend, ie he has never admitted they were or are in a relationship?

^truth although @jennlin‌ already made @crunchymama11‌ an account. As far as I know she still hasn't used it. I understand why non-FB people make that choice, but if you keep a fake account to participate on a group how is any different than making a profile on TB. I'm guessing it's just the principal, but it makes me sad that eventually this board will get deleted and that will be that.

I hate PETA. I feel like they get people by convincing them that they are saving animals. The truth is every interaction I've had with PETA was during dog shows. They actually would go into shows and throw poisoned treats in the dog kennels to "save" them, and by saving I mean trying to kill. Thankfully our dogs never took treats from strangers.

This UO is brought to you by my cousin who posts PETA memes all the time, and I just want to slap her silly.

I dunno, feelings were hurt and it just seems like things are just more personal on FB, but I never thought about doing a fake profile. I knew there's been plenty of drama on here too. I just scared guise.

I know that there has been several fall outs that probably make people worried. I can't speak for the newly formed group (because I'm not on there), but I feel that the original O13 group is far more cohesive now. I'm guessing the new group is to, because they just excluded the people they were having issues with. At the end of the day the split was probably for the best. I also feel that the complaits you see on TB are almost always from drama causing threads like UO and FFFC. Let's be real TB is generally just the bad girls club. We are full of snark, piss, and vinegar. It makes it fun, but when you play with fire. Somebody is bound to get burned.

Some are, some arent. Some have left the original group. The new group that has been formed is more "exclusive" I guess you could say. A lot of members from the original group were not included (me being one, along with severeal others regs). But it is what it is. You're more than welcome to join our group if you wish! I refuse FB on many principles, most of which have nothing to do with TB. But I'll be honest (and prob start drama but IDC anymore) and say there are those in the FB group I don't want to interact with. And there's too much drama. And to keep it even more honest- this group used to be awesome. And it changed and the group isn't what it once was. So while I am sad this group is dying bc I've met some awesome friends here, I'm deft not sad enough to join the FB group.

And I see posts all the time complaining about other people's FB posts- it just makes me not want to ever ever ever join. Who the hell cares if a couple shares a FB account? Why is it so bothersome if someone posts a zillion pics of their dog/flower/feet/whatever? Or post their BFPs with a pic of the pee stick at 4 weeks? Or live-blogs their day? Either just ignore it or delete them. It shouldn't be that aggravating and annoying. And I don't want to be worried that other people are annoyed with my posts or whatever. Ain't nobody got time for all that.

@afolske106‌ covered that question perfectly. I'd say about 10 up and left. Some participate on both, but weren't the ones involved in the split. Some are still on the group and appear to read the posts but don't respond. So it's been very tame!
