Sleep regression

AHH! Not the time for sleep regression! lol #5 is now fussy between 1-2am and is up by 2am. We sit in a dark room with no toys and she still is getting down and running all over the room talking. *sighs* She is up when daddy gets up at 4:45-5am. He says she sometimes goes back to sleep. But she is back up at 6:30am when he leaves and I get up. :-/

Sometimes she will pass out at about 9am for 30 minutes. And then she has a normal nap time of noonish. She still only takes a 30 minute nap (she won't sleep longer) and then no more sleeping till almost 9pm. We got to bed at 9pm. Some days she is asleep at 8:30-45pm. That shouldn't be an issue though. I was so tired that SO had to come back home and take the 3 boys to school because I could not safely drive them.  Only 4 more school days left for me. Then SO can worry about that for 2 weeks while I recover from having #6.

Re: Sleep regression

  • We went through the same thing last week.  It was not a good time.  She's making it to 5am this week (which is still early for her) but it's better than 1 or 2 am.  I have noticed that she has developed new skills this week... so maybe the sleep issues are associated with a develpmental leap?  Hang in there mama!

  • 5 am is normal for my LO. She likes to get up with daddy.

Thanks! I hope it gets better for you too! I know it eventually does, but man, I am tired and this is bad timing. lol

  • Thanks!

I think hers is talking more. She put 2 words together earlier instead of one. I think she did it a few times, but it wasn't very clear.

  • I have no advice, sorry! But I did want to tell you that I love how you refer to your children by numbers to us. Cracks me up!! I always wanted to have lots of children just so I could use numbers instead of names.
