Cousin officially in labor at 27+5 *Final Update*

Okay so she is officially in labor 3 days after her water breaking. As of right now that is all I know. It's more than likely going to be a long journey for her and baby Ridley in the NICU. Any spare T&Ps for her are greatly appreciated!

*Update 1* Still no Ridley, they are monitoring her and ready in case they need to do an emergency c-section but mama and baby are doing good. Poor thing is STILL at 3cm, she should definitely be here today though. Thanks for all the T&Ps!!

*Update 2* From the Doc: Mama and baby aren't doing anything that makes any sense to them. Her water is broken, cerclage out, she's having regular contractions every 2-3 minutes (Mama has decided no epi yet) but she's not dilating the way she should be. If she were closer to full term they'd jump start with pitocin but she is only 28 weeks now so they're saying "another day in the womb is a day out of NICU" Because she's not dilating how she should and they know that they are also not checking her as often as they normally would to avoid infection as much as possible. But Mama is doing great and LOs HB is perfect/not in distress. Also they are letting her eat now after being on a cracker/water or sprite diet for the last 24+ hours and she's about to attempt a sponge bath and washing her hair. Thanks again ladies!

*Update 3* So overnight she dilated from 3 to 6 after they moved her out or L&D and back to her room because she wasn't making any progress. Now that she's progressing quickly she got her epi and it should be baby time soon! Thank you ladies for all the support!
*Final update via mobile* Ridley Ray is here! She weighs 3 lbs and has already cried and started breathing on her own. She and mama are doing VERY well. Thanks for all the support you ladies have shown us!!

    SHG 5/10/13: both tubes blocked; HSG 6/28 = Left tube cleared! Right blocked.

    Thanks ladies! As soon as we get updates I'll update here. I've helped so many people though losses after mine but its different when it's family. It makes it really hard because even though we want all babies to make a safe entrance seeing family go thorough it is a more direct heartbreak than hearing about. I don't want her or anyone else to experience what we have.

    @officedronette Thanks for that. We have a friend who had two 26 week premies and one is now 2 years old, the other will be a year in Feb, unfortunately she went through many early losses and one late loss to her rainbows but we're staying very positive!!

    Thanks ladies. Ridley still hasn't arrived and they aren't trying to rush her. Mama has hit 24 hours of labor and has been given something for the pain to help with the pain. They are on constant monitoring but both are looking wonderful right now.

    ETA: She has not gotten an epi yet and is trying to hold off. She's also been 3cm since yesterday but because of the pain and consistancy of the contractions she is staying in L&D. I'm not sure what the overall plan is but seems like they're playing it by ear.

    Thanks again so much! I honesty don't know what I would do if I didn't have somewhere to worry openly! The Drs say a typical stay for a 28 weeker is 8 weeks but with how mature and big she already is that her stay may be shorter, we never know though. Mama will probably be released in the next couple of days.
