H&M maternity clothes Question...

Hey ladies-
I was wondering for those of you who have ordered H&M maternity wear is it true to your normal size at H&M?? I was just about to order some jeans and got nervous about ordering because you can't return in store and I'm terrible about returning things by mail :)

Thanks in advance for the info :)

  • I found that their jeans ran small. At loft, I'm normally a 6-8, and at H&m the 8's were super snug. All the tips and leggings though were true to size.

Where does it say u can't return in store? I was able to return mine in store, even to a location that didn't carry the maternity line.

Isn't H&M more junior sizes? The Loft is women's so you would wear smaller in women's.

I've honestly never shopped at H&M but I thought it was more for the younger crowd, like a forever 21. So I could be full of shit.
    Fucking bump!!!!
  • I haven't bought online from them, but I bought some jeans in their store.  The sizes for me were definitely off.  I'm normally a size 3/4, and ended up purchasing a 6 and an 8.  The size 8 actually tends to be a little big after I wear them once, so I wish I would have gone with a 6 instead.  I did try on a couple of other pairs, and the pockets in the back looked funny.  If you have a store near you, I'd recommend just making a trip.

Yes generally I wear a slightly bigger size in H&M then in Ann Taylor etc because it is more "junior-ish"

@mrshall1027‌ I have one by me, I know what size I wear there just wasn't sure how their maternity stuff is because they don't have it in store (at least by me) and I've noticed some things tend to be bigger in maternity at some places- which can be frustrating but usually H&M is smaller for me rather than bigger :)

  • @Lalalady54 if you do get the jeans, let me know how you like them - I still haven't found great maternity jeans and I didn't try them from H&M

Try pink blush maternity for jeans. They usually run pretty good sale too! I love that site :)
  • @Pintobean39‌ their sizes run more like "European sizes" so I always have to go up a size or two which if I'm already feeling like a chunk just makes me feel worse. But I'd agree that a lot of their stuff I wouldn't wear and I'm 25.

Buuuuuuut........I NEED their maternity pleather leggings! Like deep down in my soul, the one here in Austin has a tiny section so I'm hoping to try some on soon
  • I am going to h&m this weekend in search of skinny jeans that are skinny enough for my legs....I will report back.

  • I have a graphic tee, long sleeve striped shirt, white sweater, and navy with white polka dots dress from H&M and they are all true to my pre-pregnancy size. They are on their second pregnancy and holding up just fine. I have to say, I find a lot of maternity clothes to be crappy quality, even from Loft and Gap.

  • I am always about a size up at h&m....maternity was the same ordered my normal h&m size. I like the jeans and the chinos as well as the tops I have ordered or bought in store and think quality is same as always.
