  • @Radiantly  did I miss it? Did you test?!
  • @kelley72 yeah I did a digital yesterday and a FRER This morning. Both BFNs
    TTC#1 since Aug 2013, I'm 37, DH 41.
Maya Arvigo Abdominal massage (daily self care), plus TTC meditations.
I'm very sensitive to diet (gluten, avoid processed foods) and environment. Have a history of inflammation and tendinitis before going off gluten in 2009.
July 2014 - RE Visit #1: Eggs look good, Endometrioma on R ovary, HSG showed blocked R tube close to ovary. DH SA normal
DX: Endometriosis probably the IF cause and gunking up tubes.  Since egg reserve is high, RE says I can wait a couple months and then get laproscopic surgery to remove endo & clear tube.  If that doesn't help then move to IVF.
Dec 2014 - Saw new RE - does not recommend surgery on tube as it isn't likely to help.  Doubts I have endometriosis.  My endometrioma shrunk to neglible size (yay!)
    Seriously considering IVF in March/April
    12/17/14 - Natural BFP!
  • 1. Your Name or Screen Name (not full names) and State you are from.
    WVaRN fro WV

    2. How long have you been TTC? Are you TTC #1,#2,#3, etc.?
TTC since July 2014, #2 for me #3 for DH, #1 together.

    3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE?
    Only Charting.

    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test? Experiencing any weird "phantom" symptoms ladies in your 2ww?
CD 14 for me Think I O'd yesterday will have to temp a few more days to see if I get cross hairs.

    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc)
Don't feel to good.  I had a horrible long work week and me and DH were on opposite schedules so only got to BD 1 day in the fertile window.  I know it just takes one time but not to hopeful.

QOTW: What is the best vacation you have been on?
I think my best vacation I have been on is the last one I went on with my family.  My parents rented a house at the beach and myself and my 2 sisters and all our family went.  They do it every year but I have had to work the last 3 years and have missed out.

Off Topic vent about this week.  Had a horrible week.  My paternal grandfather went missing at the beginning of the week. He is in his mid 70's very active and usually healthy (except for his diabetes) He left his house around 1 pm to go to the pharmacy to pick up his meds.  My blind uncle lives with him and she said Papaw was acting a little funny before he left the house. My Uncle was going to go with him but by the time my Uncle got his coat and shoes on Papaw had left the house.  This was unusual for him he always takes my Uncle everywhere with him. When dark came and Papaw had not made it home yet my uncle called my dad.  We started calling around looking for him.  He never made it to the pharmacy.  We looked for hours. We live in rural WV, so there are a lot of places he could have ended up.  We were terrified this was not going to end well.  We have a huge family so we all split up and started searching river banks and hollows for him or his truck.  We posted it to face book as bad as we hated to, we just wanted to get the word out.  Around 10pm my mom got a call at my parents house.  A man had seen it on facebook and said a hospital had called his house asking for my dad.  He told them he had the wrong number but he knew how to get a hold of us.  The man called mom and gave her a phone number for a hospital.  The hospital was 3 hours away from Papaw's house.  He had go confused and just kept driving until he his a power pole.  They estimate that he was going about 50 mph when he hit it.  The Ambulance took him to a small hospital and my dad went to get him.  He was medically cleared.  They said he was ok.  Fast forward to 2 days later he started having more difficulty breathing.  Dad took him to big hospital.  Papaw had 3 broken ribs and a punctured lung.  The other hospital missed it.  The big hospital told us that he may loose his lung because the blood that was in the lung was old blood and they didn't know if they could get it to re-inflate.  He also had a small hemorrhagic stroke, which explains where the confusion came from. They put a chest tube in his lung and thankfully it re-inflated.  He is still in pain, but the confusion is going away.  Our next step is to put him in a temporary rehab hospital to try to get him walking again.

Sorry for rambling, and thanks to anyone who reads this whole mess.  lol.
  • creamcheese17 I have MTHFR and so does both of my sisters.  My OB just said for me to take Baby Aspirin when TTC but I think I need to talk to a high risk OB if I ever do get a BFP.  My one sister had to take blood thinner shots her entire pregnancies.  If your sis has it you may want to make sure they test you for it also.
  • @wvarn thanks for the info.
I hope your grandfather has a speedy recovery.
  • @wvarn‌ so sorry about your grandfather! So scary! I'm glad he is doing better and in a safe place now.

  • @wvarn‌ I'm so sorry about your grandpa. I hope he heals quickly-- very frustrating the first hospital missed the rib injury. Will keep you in my thoughts. Hugs.
  • @wvarn so scary!  I hope he has a fast and speedy recovery.  What a good samaritan that gave the right number.  I miss that about my town... it used to be a small town when I was growing up, but not anymore.

Off Mirena Nov 2013, On Nuvaring end of Jan, Back off Sept 2014.  Never ending cycle starting end of Sept...
    11/14 Provera failed... cycle continues
12/14 High FSH (57 "midcycle")  OBGYN had no clue... about anything
01/15 More lab results coming back from RE. U/S showed small (1")cyst on left ovary, thin lining, and couldn't locate right ovary so  possibly straight to DE and IVF

Occassionally mess with the chart below to see "what if" and learn (not to make it pretty but because FF stays drunk with me).

  • @wvarn oh wow, how scary.  I hope he has a good recovery.  Are you guys going to do anything now for his safety because of this incident?  It is always hard because you don't want to take their away but don't want anything to happen to them. It was tough making those decisions for my grandmother when she got sick before she passed.

    TTC#1 since May 2014

    3. What are you doing this cycle? Are you seeking help with a fertility specialist (RE)? If so, what stage are you in? Charting/temping? Testing? Medicated cycles? IUI? IVF? DE?
Benched this month after RE did a hysteroscopy to remove fibroid.
First IUI with Femara and Ovridel (sp?)in upcoming cycle.

    4. Where are you in your cycle? (Waiting to O, 2WW etc) If in the 2ww when will you test? Experiencing any weird "phantom" symptoms ladies in your 2ww? 1 more week till CD1

    5. How do you feel about this cycle? (Are you hopeful, anxious... etc) Optimistic now that my fibroid is gone. Apparently I have been living with it since my teens. RE says I've basically had a natural IUD for my entire reproductive life and I wouldn't have been able to get or stay pregnant if I didn't have it removed. Happy to be rid of it so we can get down to business.

QOTW: What is the best vacation you have been on? Tie: A week in Aruba after I finished Grad School and Paris/London Senior year in college.

  • @wvarn, I'm so sorry to hear this.  How scary.  I'm glad he's okay now.  I hope your family can figure out a way for him to maintain his independence but still have some supervision (hopefully the "worthless" uncle will step up).

Harmony: negative; level 2: babies look great and are boy/girl! :)
  • @wvarn good luck with the talk.  If Uncle was worthless before the talk, he will be the same after. Sadly. When I moved down to Fl.  Both my uncles lives in the same area as my grandmother.  One didn't really talk to her and the other only when he had his hand out.  She got really sick and they did nothing.  I tried talking to them and pressing how things were and I needed help. (Single mom of three and taking care of a very ill grandmother while trying to gain employment) They didn't do crap.  Not until she was on her death bed did they finally jump in.
