    I actually just read an article this morning about how those kinds of blogs are just another form of mommy wars and putting down moms who have it together. Not saying they're perfect, but saying there's no shame in saying you're a good mom.

    Yeah, so many of them focus on how much love and attention they focus on their kids instead of their messy house. Like if you have a really clean house, you don't love your kid enough or something. I wish my house was neater, and I am trying really hard to keep it uncluttered and neat and form better habits. but my home will definitely never be the feature of a blog about organizing your life.
    Still doesn't make me excited to show you my pantry though.
    I read the bolded as panty.  I was all like "yeah, you shouldn't be excited to show us that!" Must.get.more.coffee. 
    Oh, we're not doing a lingerie drawer challenge?

    Do panties count as lingerie, because that's as close to lingerie as I get.

    Omg. Mh accuses me of that-cleaning too much and not playing with M enough. After I've worked all day and was up all night with him. Then came home to a disaster of a house which I must now clean before I cook dinner. Okay. Enough. Lol

    It gets easier to clean AND spend time with them the older they are IMO. A likes to help me load and unload the dishwasher, she loves doing laundry, and she is obsessed with the vacuum. She won't pick up her own toys though, and usually cries like I'm torturing her.
    On a good day DS is capable of helping out, but right now he is going through a clingy phase and I can't get free to do much, and then when I can he is climbing chairs and reaching for knives and glassware.

    I agree.  Maybe a small challenge that's out of the ordinary.  Then we can also post if we do a larger project.

    I am actually going to try to get a load of non-diaper laundry going right now. Hope DS doesn't have a meltdown while I sneak out of the room.

    I have my daughter help.  I hand her laundry, lift her up and have her drop the clothes in the washer.

    She has a blast.

And too often he is unsorting things that have been sorted or putting dirty clothes with clean clothes or vice versa, before I can get the clean clothes clear of the laundry room. I really need to keep him out of there when diapers are washing, because if he plays with the buttons and dial at the wrong time, it will kill the cycle in progress and I will have to start it over again, because my machine is not smart enough to pick up where it left off.

    Anyway, we survived. The only trouble DS managed to get into was stealing his new blueberry toothpaste out of the bathroom. That stuff it just way too tasty, I'm going to have to lock it down.

    Does your machine have a child lock? Mine is an LG and I can lock DS out of changing the cycle.

    Does your machine have a child lock? Mine is an LG and I can lock DS out of changing the cycle.

    What a brilliant idea! I wish it did. Thankfully my dad fixed the latch on the utility room door during a previous visit, and that has made it a bit easier.
