**Updated 11/21**ER and Fert Report

I had my ER yesterday and the retrieved 10 eggs and told us 8 mature and they would watch the other 2. I won't lie, I was so upset. After doing a much more intensive protocol, it was upsetting to have the same number of mature eggs. I got a voicemail from my nurse a little later and she told me that one of the other eggs was mature and they were watching the last one. It was a M1 and could potentially mature in the lab.

This morning I got my fert report and the final count was 10 retrieved, 10 mature, and 7 fertilized normally.  Given our issues with embryo quality, I was hoping for a few more, but we can work with 7.  Now I just need a good day 3 report.  My embryos are usually poor quality by day 3, so the day 3 report usually gives me a good idea of what to expect from the cycle.  As crazy as this sounds, if we only get 1 or 2 blasts from this cycle, I am considering another fresh cycle in January.  DH thinks I am completely nuts.  
 
Update: So our day 3 report is in and it's not good.  On day 3 embryos should be 6-10 cells and my clinic gives them a grade on a scale of 1-3, 1 is no fragmentation, 2 is minimal fragmentation, 3 is high fragmentation.  Both 1s and 2s are considered good quality, my clinic rarely rates embryos as a grade 1 on day 3.  Here is what we have:
1 3 cell grade 3
1 4 cell grade 2
2 4 cell grade 3
1 5 cell grade 3
1 6 cell grade 3
1 7 cell grade 2
 
Pretty much all of our embryos are slow growing and highly fragmented, so it seems that the change in protocol and immune treatments didn't make a difference.  Right now out of 10 mature eggs, we have 1 decent embryo.  I think we will be lucky to have one embryo make it to blast, more than likely we will have nothing to freeze.  I know a lot can change between day 3 and day 5, but this isn't our first rodeo.  We've had slow growing fragmented embryos before and they don't catch up.  I would like to say that I am holding out hope for this cycle, but I am not.  I think we are looking at a major egg quality issue and I have not hope right now of getting pregnant with my eggs.

I got my day 5 report and most of my embryos are still in the cleaved stage and haven't progressed since day 3.  We have one grade 2 compacted embryo that they are watching to see if it makes it to blast tomorrow to be frozen.  I talked to my nurse today and she said I would get a call tomorrow, but the nurse I talked to Wednesday said that I would receive an email with my final freeze report either Saturday or Sunday.  Either way, I'm not feeling hopeful.

    Best of luck lady! I don't think you're crazy at all! These are very personal, difficult decisions. I'm wishing you lots and lots of luck and I hope you don't even need to worry about this in January!!!

    Thanks.  Unfortunately we will have to worry about this one way or another in January since my lining forced us into a freeze all.  Given our history we will likely only get 1 or 2 blasts to freeze, which makes me nervous about not having anything to transfer during our FET, which will hopefully be in January.

    I know this can be so disappointing, but I think those numbers look really good! I have the same issue, though, where at day 3 and 4 we lose almost all of them. In your shoes, I would think another banking cycle in January would actually be ideal. Good luck and we will want updates!

    Thanks ladies. I made an appointment with my therapist because I was having a hard time sorting through all the "what ifs" going through my head. She said a few things that helped me. First I don't have enough info yet to make a decision on whether to cycle again. Right now all I know is that we have 7 embryos. She also reminded me that I don't have to make a decision today. We can wait and see what happens this cycle before getting caught up in the planning our next steps. In an ideal world do another full cycle to bank more embryos, but financially I don't know if it makes sense. Would our money be better put towards a donor egg cycle? Hopefully we end up with a few blasts and i won't have to make that decision.

    Good luck!! I don't think you are crazy at all for wanting to do another cycle! I'm like you and immediately need a plan if I don't get the results I wanted. However, your therapist is correct. You don't have enough info just yet. Plus you have time to look at all options and make a plan for Jan. I really hope you get all the blasts you want so you don't have to cycle again.

    ~SAIF/PAIF/Everyone Welcome~ 

    Me= 37 and DH = 41 

    Dx: DOR, Endo, APA+ (really high beta 2 glycoprotein antibody and high everything else tested), heterozygous MTHFR mutation, positive for lupus anticoagulant, high FSH, low AMH and both tubes blocked (per HSG on 3/8/11)

    IVF #1 - long lupron (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 4 retrieved, 3 fertilized; ET 2 blasts and 1 frozen = BFN

    IVF #2 - a version of antagonist with EPP (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 6 retrieved, 4 mature, 3 fertilized, 2 blasts and 1 frozen blast transferred on day 5 = BFN.

    IVF #3 April was postponed to May, May was canceled. June/July was canceled. Had a cyst aspiration and then began IVF #3 in August. ER on 8/22; ET on 8/24 with AH. +HPT on 9/5. Beta #1 (11dpo) = 3; Beta #2 (15dpo) = 29; Beta #3 (17dpo) = 60; Beta #4 (19 dpo) = 118. Heartbeat at 6 weeks 6 days =132.  Lil is here!

    In my prednisone and progesterone induced haze, I have lots of positive energy to go around! LOL. Well, more like cramping, fatigue, hunger, and constipation. DAMN! I forgot how relentless these meds were!

    Thanks.  Today is just another fert report since we had to convert to a freeze all because of lining issues.  I shoudl get call today with an update on where our embryos are at and if any made it to blast today.  Usually the final freeze report (email) comes on day 6, but my nurse said that I may not get it until day 7.  So I should know by the end of the weekend if we have anything to freeze.

    Im sorry to hear this :(  my embryos are always slow underachievers too.  I wish I knew the secret equation for this problem, clearly I don't.   I hope you have something to freeze and you find out sooner rather than later

    I updated the original post.  Right now nothing to freeze.  They are still watching one compacted grade 2 embryo to see if it makes it to blast tomorrow, but I am not holding my breath.

    I'm sorry, hon.  I hope you get news soon that they froze the one they are still watching.  I was told I could call for an update on day 6 (I guess they won't be answering the phone on Saturday, though) and I got the email today (day 7).  ((HUGS))  The waiting just makes this whole process suck even more!

    ~SAIF/PAIF/Everyone Welcome~ 

    Me= 37 and DH = 41 

    Dx: DOR, Endo, APA+ (really high beta 2 glycoprotein antibody and high everything else tested), heterozygous MTHFR mutation, positive for lupus anticoagulant, high FSH, low AMH and both tubes blocked (per HSG on 3/8/11)

    IVF #1 - long lupron (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 4 retrieved, 3 fertilized; ET 2 blasts and 1 frozen = BFN

    IVF #2 - a version of antagonist with EPP (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 6 retrieved, 4 mature, 3 fertilized, 2 blasts and 1 frozen blast transferred on day 5 = BFN.

    IVF #3 April was postponed to May, May was canceled. June/July was canceled. Had a cyst aspiration and then began IVF #3 in August. ER on 8/22; ET on 8/24 with AH. +HPT on 9/5. Beta #1 (11dpo) = 3; Beta #2 (15dpo) = 29; Beta #3 (17dpo) = 60; Beta #4 (19 dpo) = 118. Heartbeat at 6 weeks 6 days =132.  Lil is here!

    TTC#2:  Trigger + TI = BFN; Clomid + Trigger + IUI = BFN.

    IVF #4:  BCP + MDLF + Lovenox = 7R, 1F = Transferred 1 6-cell embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #5:  MDLF + Lovenox = 4R, 1F = Transferred 1 10-cell compacting embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #6:  (New RE):  Long Antagonist November 2014 (transferred two 8 cell grade 1 embryos and froze one blast) = BFN

    DS IVF: (11/12) - BFN

    DE/DS IVF#1: (10/13) - 2 day 3 embies transferred-BFFN

    FET of 2 day 6 blasts: (12/13) - c/p

    DE/DS IVF #2: (4/14) - 1 day 5 blast transferred...BFFN...again.

    FET 5/14: 1 day 5 hatching blast transferred...another BFFN

    Repeat SHG 6/14-normal / Endometrial Receptivity Array biopsy 7/14-Receptive Uterus

    New RE, additional testing reveals elevated NK Cells

Beta #1 at 11dp3dt=106, #2 at 13dp3dt=239. First u/s 4/28, measuring on track & heartbeat seen. 5/5-2nd u/s, measuring on track with strong heartbeat. 5/12- 3rd u/s & released from RE.
