Uggg last night was hell. Keenan went down at normal time, but was kinda squirmy so it took DH a while. He was up at midnight (DH got up with him) and back down by 12:45. I was awake most of that, just because I've been having trouble getting back to sleep when I'm woken up in the middle of the night. Kennan is up again at 1:30, and I get up with him. After cuddling and 3 attempts to get him back in his crib, I wake DH at about 2:30 because I'm about to pee my pants. Well that all just woke K up. We rock in his room from 2:30-3, but no luck. So we go downstairs and have a bottle. Again just wide awake. So I turned on Sesame Street and dozed on the couch with him. We watch SS until about 4:15 (I might've drifted a bit, but not much). I go get DH to trade me and when he realizes K is wide awake says "godfuckingdammit Keenan!" and grabs him. I swear it looked like he was going to shake or throw him on the bed. He's never done that before and wouldn't ever, but I wasn't quite rational. I burst into tears, and when I cry, I ugly cry with giant sobs. So DH is asking what's wrong, I'm bawling, and Keenan is wondering WTF is going on.

Anyway I then slept in til almost 7. Keenan was somehow still awake. He crashed on the way to my mom's and was sleeping when I left. I'm hoping tonight is better.

Some of my random thoughts for the day....

We started to TTC again since the miscarriage in September. The doc said I could try as soon as my first period so we are officially TTC.
Our home will be paid off next month. I'm so freaking excited. We have worked so hard and thrown every penny at the mortgage that we could since we bought it in 2006.
LO barely wanted to eat for 3 days and his poop was borderline diareaha but last night he actually ate a lot better.
I heart my fitbit challenge group!

I'm bumping from a hotel room because Grimm picked us and they are setting up our house to start filming tomorrow. Our house is going to be a witch's house. She is going to be a somewhat recurring character. They will come back again at the end of Jan to film again.

I requested a Residence Inn on this side of town so I wouldn't have to cross the rivier to get the boys to their schools. Big mistake. It is two levels with a loft above. The boys have been chucking stuff over the side for the past two days. This morning we woke up to find underpants hanging off the fan. And the stairs are so steep and I can't keep DD off of them. I'm going to have to request a place with no stairs next time.

Thanks guys. It's frustrating for sure, and I think that's what set the tears off. The swearing has been going on for several months (since he started helping with MOTN wakeups) and has actually gotten a lot better. And it's never been with a raised voice, it's just one of those "wtf, why am I being woken up?" kind of things. It's hard because DH is frustrated with the situation and then I get frustrated with him for his frustration. I know he's not swearing at me or at Keenan, just the situation but it's still hard. What happens when K can understand him? I know he's working on it, but it's still hard. I swear this pregnancy is setting the waterworks off lately.

@Altima80 - The picking up thing I wasn't clear on. I handed LO to DH, thinking he realized he needed to get up with him. He thought he just needed cuddled in our bed. All he really did was lift him up, but with how tired I was and with the swearing and being dark in our room, it kinda looked like he was going to toss him on our bed. I do plan on talking to him to see if I misinterpreted, because that's very possible.

Thanks for the commiseration guys, just a really sucky night. I know we've all had them!

Her name is Henrietta? My drawing room is going to be her potion room.

We will be here 2 more nights. They will be moving all our furniture back and cleaning on Thursday, so technically I could go home nad keep the kids upstairs that day. (Which I might do since I'm having a tough time getting DD to nap at the hotel.

My friend who was overdue had her baby yesterday! He is almost ten pounds and has the chunkiest, squishiest face ever!!! He's adorable!!!

My mil and sil will be here Thursday to Sunday. I mentioned to dh I was going to make a roast for Saturday since the kids love roast and I can toss it in the crockpot so it's not a huge amount of work. He mentioned it to sil and she pitched a fit. She only likes to eat beef once a week and she had beef on Monday so we need to make something else. :-w This shouldn't really bother me but everyone bends over backwards for this chick and my ils fawn over her like she's gods gift to society (29, lives at home rent free, parents pay for her things, on her 100th pt job, complains about all her jobs/coworkers/bosses on fb, mild conspiracy theorist) and treat my dh like garbage, so the fact that I have to now plan something else for dinner that the kids will eat too really rustles my jimmies.

I'm sorry for everyone who is having such crappy sleeps and illness. It's the worst, I feel for all of you. >:D< ~O)

I need some dog help:

My 7yo golden retriever (the gentlest, sweetest dog in the world!) doesn't particularly care for Lucas. I have tried very hard to keep L from pestering him, but sometimes he pets too hard or tries to show the dog where the dog's eyes and teeth are (which means poking his eyes and sticking his hands in his mouth), and he loves to play with the dog bowls and he thinks it's hilarious to chase the dog with his trucks and ram him with his walk-behind toy, and as hard as I try, sometimes those things happen. Mostly the dog just tries to avoid him, but our house is not large, and the dog has spent enough time alone between NICU and hospital visits, I couldn't bear to keep him separated from us. Sometimes he gives warning growls, and I try to praise that and help L understand what that means.

This morning the dog was laying on the floor, L crawled over and petted him a little hard, and the dog reared up and snapped at him. I really, really don't think he would intentionally harm him - I think this was a warning, too - but either a tooth or a claw caught L's cheek and left a little welt that I think is going to bruise.

Any advice? I don't want to let either of them get into a worse situation.

Oh gutsy that's so hard. I don't really know what to say but I thought of your parents. Don't they live on a farm or something? Could they care for the dog for a few years? Just until Luke is a bit bigger? I hate the idea of rehoming but sometimes I feel like it's the best thing for the dog. And kid.

Yeah, both of our parents live out in the country with a lot of land. That's got to be last resort though. B is our baby too

@LadyBlue07 How does your dog get into the bed if there's a baby gate? Jump? Either way - our house is 90 years old and cramped. There's not much room for his own space

He has a bed in the corner of the dining room but there's not really a way to block it off - we already barely have a path to walk through in that corner.

Maybe, but doubtful. His crate is large, and we don't really have room for it - and right now it's in our closet, and every time L gets a chance he climbs inside because apparently it's super fun to sit there and swing the door open and shut

ETA: I mean, I don't let him, but he hasn't stopped trying either.

Thanks everyone. Dh and I actually fought about this (which was so dumb. We're more of a bickering type than actual fighting) and I told him "fine! If it's sooo important to you then I'll bend over and take it up the ass for sil just like everyyyyone else does! It's all about sil." He felt I was being rude to his family over a "simple" request and I should just make something else that everyone will eat.

I think I will make the roast and I'll make her a chicken breast or something. I'm super excited for this visit.... Can you tell??

Good thing the building across from mine is shorter because I absent mindedly just took off all of my clothes instead of just my coat, boots, scarf, and outer sweater. Can't even blame sleep deprivation. :-??
