I saw on another board that they do craft check ins. I thought this might be fun given that the board has been slow and we have some crafty mommies on here. So, what do you think O'13?
I'm knitting christmas dresses for the girls. I've finished one and am almost done with the second. This is the only pic I have on my phone before I tied in the edges.
My sister wants me to crochet her boot cuffs for Christmas. They seem like they will go quickly, if Molly stops grabbing my yarn balls and running away...
@crunchymama11 I have several different projects going on in my head, but I can't bring myself to work on any. I need to find tiny like mini scrabble letter tiles for armaments I'm making, but I'm not having any luck!
It sounds like you'll be busy. Pretty cool that you're making homemade toys. They are so much more special!
Tooooooo maaaaaany crafts. Seahawks inspired quilt for 1 yr old cousin. Cross stitched stocking for LO. Game boy plastic needlework magents for FIs friends. Etc... Possibly 2 small quick quilts for my old managers immenent twin babies (due feb, will be here in jan...)

Try a second hand store. I always find old games like scrabble at ours.
I decided I needed a hobby that wasn't work-related so I decided to take up sewing. So far, I've made a dress and two reversible headbands (first was too small for my LO's 97th+ percentile head). I'm looking at a long sleeve peasant dress (here https://prudentbaby.com/2010/11/baby-kid/long-sleeve-peasant-dress-tutorial-2/) as my next project.
I'm supposed to be making tutus and superhero capes for my niece and nephew but I've been overwhelmed with work lately and haven't gotten around to it. I have time off closer to Christmas so maybe I'll get around to them.
I also am working on developing a shelf-stable muffin mix recipe that I want to do in jars. I actually want to do three varieties and do gift sets because muffins are more fun when you have a variety to choose from. But I'm not even sure that's going to happen.
Wow, you ladies are amazing at crafting! This post is making me want to learn how to knit/crochet again. I've attempted a few times from books but no luck... I need a class or something.
I have been (slowly) teaching myself to sew. I have pajamas planned for the kids, and that's pretty much it at the moment. Might get around to some hats.... maybe.
Tomorrow I'm going to my mom's so we can work on my other cornice board. For the non-FBers, I did one to hang over my kitchen window last weekend and this weekend we're going to do a matching one that goes over the sliding glass doors to the deck. It's a Pinterest project and pretty easy! We got extra fabric ot make a couple toss pillows for the living room in the same fabric.
I also have a craft I'm going to do for a roller window shade and a valence for a bathroom window that's no sew, although when my mom heard I bought "hem tape" to hem the edges, she totally eye rolled and said she'd sew the hem lol.
I used to crochet, but haven't done it in years. My grandma and mom both sew, but i never learned...though I'm wishing that I did!
@Snowboarderbritt do you have a pattern/tutorial for the leggings? I made some pj pants for the three of us and am slightly less scared to attempt sewing clothing now. Lol. I would love to be able to make stuff for A.
