So blood work came back from this morning. They upped my PIO shot to 1.5ml instead of 1. I also still do delestrogen tonight and Thursday and crinone gross. Going to try to not POAS until at least Saturday. I'm scared of the results. DH already told me he doesn't want me to but I will see how this week goes. I am veryyyyyy tired after working today. And cramping is on and off. Hope these are good things.

IUI and Bravelle- 2x one IUI cancelled overstimulated, second BFN
I had a bad appointment Saturday with another doctor in the office. He couldn't find my left ovary and then when he did find it the measurements were the same as 3 days before. I left the office very frustrated and upset. I do not trust this doctor because of our previous cycle ..long story.. Today I went in to see my doctor and got the news I was hoping for. Everything is right on schedule my BOTH ovaries look great. I have 6 on the right and 5 on the left with some smaller ones that might be able to make it. I am triggering tonight and will have ER on Wednesday. I am very excited! We also did the Halo sperm test and from the results being abnormal we will be using PICSI this go around and are hoping for better quality embryo's and hopefully some to freeze. Hopefully the PICSI will be what we need for better results.

@RG1979 when they do 3 day bloodwork they test your FSH and your AMH, this gives them an idea of you ovarian reserve. I had the cycle day 3 bloodwork done twice, once in April and then again right before starting this IVF. It showed everything great, they even said on paper I look like a 30 year old (just turned 39), so I went into this thinking I had plenty of good eggs, then the day of ET I had poor embryos, so it came as a shock. What I've learned (could be wrong), your bloodwork is an indicator but you could still have crappy eggs, or it could have just been they didn't get any good ones this cycle, who knows? My guess is I have more bad eggs than good.
unfortunately ovarian reserve is not always reflective of egg quality and there isn't a test for egg quality. Age can be used as a general guideline, but even that is not perfect. The only way to "test" egg quality is to try IVF and see what you end up with. Even then, factors such as protocol, can impact egg quality. I was 30 when we did our first IVF and found out that it looked like we may have an egg quality issue. We have tried a few different protocols and hopefully this current one will yield better quality eggs and result in better quality embryos.
DH (32): SA is ok, slightly low morph, normal SCSA Me (32): Slightly low progesterone, hostile CM, carrier for CF, Moderately high NKC, High TNFa, heterozyogous mutated Factor XIII, and +APA
October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos
November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues. Converted to freeze all due to lining issues. 2 blasts frozen on day 6!
January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues
@Twinkie0612 I learned that the hard way. Both REs I went to said I had good eggs, they both used that exact term. Me, not being a doctor and learning along the way didn't realize it doesn't guarantee egg quality is great. Live and learn.

@Spring78 I'm so sorry for your news I hope it was just too early to test.
@Giants721 I am so happy for you, congrats again.,
@ktabs that's such awesome news!
@cwoodward777 sorry about your reaction to the meds I hope your app goes well tomorrow.
@mariana81 sorry your ER wasn't better results I know they say quality is more important than quality. I hope you get a great day 3 report.
@RG1979 how did your transfer go? I hop you had some awesome blasts!
@Bcara11 I hope the cramping is a good sign too, I also have had cramping on/off since my transfer along with other symptoms. I just don't know if/ what is real and what is caused from the medication,
I hope everyone else is doing great!

@Spring78 After my last failed FET my doc actually suggested a new fresh cycle even though we still had a frostie because he thought that by tweaking my meds we might get better quality and there may have been something wrong with the first "batch" of embryos even if they looked good on the outside. Of course he let us try 3 transfers and waste a year before coming to this conclusion. I'm so sorry that you find yourself having to decide.
@ktabs and @mrsCW Congratulations on your POAS positives! FX for great betas coming up for you both.
@Giants721 I'm happy to hear that your betas are looking good! Congrats
@Bcara11 MH hates it when I test early too... I do it anyway because he just doesn't understand how crazy it can make you.
For everyone else, you are all in my thoughts I just can't keep up with everything going on right now. So much stuff so little me!
AFM: We got the letter from our clinic today with the number of Embryos that made the freeze and they were only able to freeze 1. We were able to freeze 4 from IVF 1 so we are pretty disappointed in this number. I know we are lucky to have gotten 2 quality blasts it still makes me wonder how things could be going so much better and then drop off at the end. I'm just going to try not to think about it now and hope that we don't have to worry about it for a while.

Man, the Tiny Turkeys are taking off! Love reading all of the good news for you ladies!
We have our WTF appt in the morning. We will see what my doc says and what we may change. Unfortunately, I was on the highest doses of my meds and so I'm not sure what else we could do differently- unless it is other meds.
I've been surprisingly okay since last Tuesday when we found out we were canceled. I am really trying to find the positives- something I'm not always good at - to help me through this. Meanwhile, I feel like everyone around me is tiptoeing because they don't want to upset me.... Oh well. I am beginning to feel like "everyone is pregnant", but that's normal- right?
Love and hugs to all. Keep it up turkeys.

Hi turkeys! I love seeing that list and reading all of your awesome news. Congrats to all the BFPs and ladies who are PUPO!! Sending love and hugs to everyone as well.
I'm still trucking along on daily Lupron and Vivelle patches - currently 2, but I step up to 3 per day tomorrow. My lining check isn't until next Monday, so for now I play the waiting game. I have a strong suspicion my lining isn't growing at all. I might be pushed into December.

cwoodward777 thank you so much! I am so excited and nervous and anxious, lol. My Beta is at 11:30 today. My husband is takig off work early to meet me there for the blood draw just because he wants to be there for some reason. I think it's actually kind of cute. Then I'm taking the rest of the day off work as well. We decided we wanted to be together at home when we get the call, I've gotten too many bad calls in the past from the clinic when I was at work and was a complete mess the rest of the day. So we thought it was best to be together good or bad news.
SweetieShellieH that's great news I hope the slow pokes catch up

I received a very unexpected call from REs office today. We have two frozen embryos! We had nothing to freeze for IVF#1. When I left the day of transfer this time we didn't even have anything that classified as a morula left. So, we were told the chances of freezing were slim to none. Our frozen embies are only fair quality day 7 blasts, but I'm super excited since it is progress. At least a FET is a possibility if we get a BFN or future siblings if we get a BFP! The embryologist also told me that we actually transferred two poor quality blasts and one morula. He said the grades we were given were taken early in the morning and since we transferred at 11:30, one of the morulas was actually an early blast. I feel hopeful for the first time during IVF#2.

I finally heard from my nurse who did not have good news for me. My uterus hates me and is not cooperating. She said my lining is still 6mm, which is fine. But I have 5mm mucus in my lower uterus section. I have to go tomorrow for another U/S, but she is pretty sure we will be cancelled. She stated the RE wants to see if I have an infection or why there is mucus in my lining. I am pretty bummed right now. I would rather cancel this cycle than waste two frosties.

@Nutmeg8484 I have a question for you since we both have similar jobs. Did you modify your work after ER and ET? I'm trying to plan ahead and am wondering if I should ask them to put me on a shift and bench where I'm sitting mostly (like doing diffs on the mic all day long!) vs. Running my butt off all day! Especially since my ER is likely landing in the middle of my nights :-S
*** If you want to know where I (and soo many others) have gone, click here ***
@SweetieShellieH I work at an incredibly small hospital and we are generally pretty slow so for me returning to work wasn't really an issue. I'm usually not doing much running around since our lab is literally one room that barely fits Chem. Heme. and Blood bank. However, this time my ER was on a Tuesday and I wish I had taken at least one day off afterwards. My coworkers are great about letting me do what I need to and are willing to step up if there is something I'm not comfortable with. I think that if you can talk to your boss and let them know that you might not be at full capacity and you may need to be just sitting around for a few days with people who are willing to help you out if necessary that would be good. Other than that it all depends on how you feel about working nights (I was exhausted for a few days after ER) and how much pain you are in since for me it took a while before I was able to walk much without pain.

Sorry for the late and quick update but I'm in trial this week so it's been crazy. I didn't poas this morning because I didn't want to have the stress of another bfn on top of dealing with my trial. Beta is tomorrow but I'm not feeling very confident after getting a bfn yesterday. At this point I just want to get it over with so I can get off of these meds and figure out where I go from here. I'm so happy to see so much is going on with our group and we have so many PUpo's! Hoping the good news continues for everyone.
Qod: definitely wine- I have a bottle waiting for tomorrow night if I get bad news! Also hot showers. When I'm really stressed I've been known to take several a day just to relax.

Turkeys are still rockin' it HUGS to the BFN LOVE AND HUGS to the ER/ET
We had our WTF appt this morning. Our RE is actually wonderful. I can't imagine going with anyone else at this point. It has been trying already and we've only had 1 cycle! Anyway- we were given 3 options going forward. Unfortunately due to my low egg reserve and the fact that we are testing to get the Fragile X out, we are sort of in a crappy situation. We talked about banking embryos for testing, trying another cycle and hoping the odds are more in our favor, and even doing biopsies on day 5. Due to the predicament we're in with my low egg reserve and testing for the Fragile X, we're probably looking at banking some embryos through a few cycles.
Obviously the looming issue is cost. So who the hell knows, honestly.
We have a lot to think about tonight. It is such a shame that 3 out of the 4 had Fragile X - our doc was so impressed with how well I responded to the high doses of meds.
Sending WARM hugs (if you're in the NE US, it is getting COLD!)

PUPO in the house! Our donor hooked us up... 19R, 17M, 17F, 2 transferred, 4 frozen. We are blown away and so, very thankful for this opportunity
The progesterone is giving me all the feels... cramping, constipation, fatigue, hunger... you know, the usual. Beta day is 11/24 and we're going beta or bust.
QOTD: well, last week, I didn't cope well AT ALL. I basically freaked out thanks to some serious PTSD from our previous IVF cycles. But now that we've made it to the final report, I'm feeling like I'm out of panic mode. I'm keeping up with my daily C+B and truly enjoying being PUPO. I feel so lucky
@cwoodward777 I'm sorry to hear about your lining. I hope the mucus clears up soon enough for you to continue with your cycle. Like you said though, it's better to cancel early then waste two frosties. Praying for some good news for you!
@RunCC37 congrats on being PUPO! That's an awesome fert report! GL with the 2ww!
Is anyone using endometrin? Just wondering what types of side effects you've experienced with it? I'm trying not to get myself too excited by the cramps, nausea, and back pain I'm experiencing.
@RG1979 yay for having another embryo to freeze and thank you for the well wishes today, I have another beta scheduled for this Friday and then again on the 26th same day as you!
@cwoodward777 sorry your appointment today didn't go well today but I agree with you I would want to thaw those embies if everything else doesn't look perfect. Hopefully things turn around for you guys at tomorrow app
@alpCRNA thank you for the wishes today and that's awesome news, yay for your frosties!

Hi ladies, I'm mobile again so my formatting is going to be messy but I wanted to update everyone on my beta results and get some advice from you ladies on what your think and if you know anyone with similar results that had a good outcome.
So my beta results are BETA #1- 7.92 8dp7dt BETA #2 - 41.5 10dp5dt I'm so stressed over these numbers, not what I was hoping for. What are your thoughts?? They want me to go back on the 26th for another beta test, I asked if I could go in another time in between now and then so they agreed for me to get tested again on Friday. I am a nervousness wreck right now. I want to be happy but I'm concerned. They said it could have been late implantation. My first beta number is concerning but they said my second one more than doubled in 48 hrs so I'm holding into that hope.
@Giants721 how many days past 5dt were your betas done at, I know you were in a similar situation although your numbers were higher than mine.
Advice, thought please. Thanks ladies!

@nowthatsalady I'm sorry about your neg pee stick. Hopefully you can figure out what is going on at your WTF.
@Twinkie0612 FX for a great 3day report.

Had another monitoring appointment today. The nurse thinks ER might be later this week. She also estimates that they might get about 13 eggs at least, maybe a little more if the other lazy ones decide to catch up soon! I'll be going back tomorrow.

cwoodward777 thank you so much!
SweetieShellieH that's great news I hope the slow pokes catch up
RG1979 congrats on PUPO and for a good call today about the remaining embryos

I finally heard from my nurse who did not have good news for me. My uterus hates me and is not cooperating. She said my lining is still 6mm, which is fine. But I have 5mm mucus in my lower uterus section. I have to go tomorrow for another U/S, but she is pretty sure we will be cancelled. She stated the RE wants to see if I have an infection or why there is mucus in my lining. I am pretty bummed right now. I would rather cancel this cycle than waste two frosties.

HUGS to the BFN
LOVE AND HUGS to the ER/ET
I will ALWAYS believe that "everything happens for a reason".
