I am 21 weeks pregnant, just barely showing, and I have only put on a few pounds so far. The baby is definitely moving, I feel it all day long. The baby feels really really low, like in my pelvic area. I thought it would be a lot higher by now. Is this normal??
Re: Is anyone else experiencing this??
Yup. I hardly showed with DS until 6+ months. With this little one, I'm showing a LOT more. DS moved all over the place; this one moves like crazy, but only very, very low. At my last OB appointment she tried to find the HB without having me undo my pants (seeing how my uterus has grown to above my belly button now), but baby girl was so low I had to undo my button AND zipper.
As long as you're feeling movement and your doc isn't concerned, I wouldn't worry about it.
What difference would it make to mention how much weight you gained?
Just curious...
Mine is still low.....could you please tell him to stop leaning on my bladder....one can only pee so many times in a day=).....congrats on feeling movement=)
women carry differetnly... I'm the opposite. Are you by any chance tall? I have a friend who is a little further along than me but barely has a belly because she has a big torso. The baby has plenty of room to move around.
I look like I am having twins...
I used to carry really low, right around my pelvic bones. Baby has since moved up, so I have a little relief. But baby still likes to sit low. I feel alot of movement and kicks in my lower abdomen. Every once in a while I get a surprise kick up high and it makes me jump.
So, yes totally normal.
?
I think it makes a difference to mention it since she's looking for people with similar experience.
I am 20 weeks pregnant and I'm hardly showing at all either and I too haven't gained any weight. ?I'm tall, about 5'7" so I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. ?I can tell my body has changed shape, but not enough to make me look pregnant to other people.
Part of me feels jipped for not "looking" pregnant yet. ?And I feel like maybe I'm doing something wrong if I'm not gaining the "pound a week" that the books all tell us we are supposed to be gaining.
But another part of me knows that come 8 or 9 months when my belly is full size, that I'll regret ever wishing for the big belly and the discomfort that comes with it.
See...you look so cute. You at least have a little belly. I have absolutely nothing yet! Like you said, I know I will soon regret it, but I am waiting for that big preggo belly!!!
Is this your first? This is my second, and from talking to people who have had multiple pregnancies, you tend to "pop" sooner with the second.
Yeah, this is my first... which is another reason I probably only have a small bump.
I didn't realize this was your second... I have heard the same as you have that women usually show sooner with second child since their uterus and their body already know what they are doing.
I'm sure your body knows what its doing too and when its ready, it will gain weight when it needs to and your belly will grow when the baby needs to renovate. ?:)?
