Morning everyone. I went to bed at 9:45 last night and woke up at 6:45. Only woke up once to pee. Crazy. Now I'm about to watch Frozen in bed. I've never seen it!
CMB I wish I could sleep through changing sleeping positions, too. I would get much more shut eye that way. Instead, like you, I wake up every time. Ugh. Enjoy getting the dresser! That's exciting!
I finally got the cold C has been clinging to for a week. Didn't sleep well because of it.
We are heading to the UK basketball game later this morning. My parents are watching C for us. I'm glad to go, but part of me feels like we should be getting stuff ready here.
From the "you know you're in your early 30s" department: One of my best friends had her son yesterday morning. Then my BFF got engaged last night!! I'm so happy for her. I cried huge happy tears (and I'm not usually emotional)!
I'm trying to figure out what to get her to congratulate her. Do you think a frame with the date of their engagement engraved would be okay?
@muskiefan07- I think that sounds like a great idea. I love to display pictures around the house, so frames are always a good one for me. And I love if they're engraved and have meaning. I have one with my wedding date on it.
Enjoy the basketball game and color me jealous! I'm going crazy going to no sporting games at all!

What time do you go to bed, @MusicFanatic? You are always up so early! I feel great sleeping in until 7:45 this am. I actually stayed up and watched the ENTIRE SNL last night. I think that was the second time since I've been pregnant!
There are 16 births on D14 now. I'm freaking out a bit! :-t
I go every day to look. I lurk both November/December every day, so exciting!!
And @snowbaby1214 - between 10:30-11pm. And my internal clock usually wakes me at 5:30 or so. Although sometimes it's 4:30 and sometimes it's 6. This week I've been sleeping a bit longer, for some strange reason. I don't typically require tons of sleep. My H is the same- wakes up early along with me. I don't like wasting my day with sleep, lol.

You're in the hospital on BR, right? When I was there for 3 weeks for mastitis, they would wake me up hourly for blood draws and BP checks (I went into eclampsia during labor to boot). It was awful and I just wanted my bed back!
I had to spend a large majority of my night cleaning up blood because I had another coughing spell and my nose was bleeding like a faucet. I was coughing so hard I didn't realize I was spewing blood too. But on the plus side, at least I'm in the comfort of my own home ;-)

Wait! Stop everything! How do u stuff nutella in french toast!? @Robs Baby Girl i am so sorry you had yet another rough go at it. Hopefully you can get some rest today Morning everyone

I am. I get woken once for a Procardia pill (for my contractions) and they check my BP at that point. But it's around 2am so I just take the pill half asleep and doze off immediately when they leave my room- it's literally a 1 minute process. When I first came in they checked me around the clock but it's fizzled off over night. They check more during the day (they also come in with a silly chart of questions twice a day they ask me). Mostly, I know if I feel off. I tend to get pretty severe headaches if my BP is higher, so if that happens they will wake me more and check. Or if it's been higher the previous day they wake me more. Otherwise, just once. But I still can't wait to break outta this joint

I was regretting bringing DS on vacation with us because he was being a typical 23 month old, but then he got to release a sea turtle into the ocean, and he really loved that. And he loved the ocean too - laughed every time the waves came up!

That sucks, I'm sorry. I second the creepy internet hug & send one of my own.
@mandikins27 I took the lazy approach to "stuffing" the French toast. I sliced Brioche bread and slathered with Nutella. I put both slices together & dredged in French toast batter.

That's not that bad, then! Such a long time in the hospital has to suck. Just those 3 weeks I was in there seemed like forever. DH used to wheel me through winding halls at night (there was an Au Bon Pain at the attached hospital). At least they had some decent food. I hope the food is good there!

10 long weeks, the 10 looooongest weeks of my life. But yes, the food is usually pretty good- especially my dinners! And I always get dessert, so that's a plus

I am so tired I went shopping yesterday, cleaned the house, wrapped a gift, and had friends over. By the end of the night I was limping my back was in so much pain! It made me realize how tough this holiday season is going to be!
I just finished the hot chocolate 5K race in the snow! It was cold but it was fun and I was rewarded with hot chocolate and chocolate fondue at the end! I think that made it all the worthwhile.

Our plans to head to the apple orchard are being put on hold, since it's snowing (boo) and there are about 2 in of the fluffiest snow ever in the ground. And it's not letting up. Snow makes me want to hole up and bake or cuddle under a blanket. But alas, I need to grocery shop for the week.
So it looks like one of my friends who isn't due til Dec 14th is going to have her baby in a week and a half. This will be the 3rd person I know who had their baby 3-5 weeks early in the last 2 months. I am kind of freaking out.
makes things seem so close, eh?
Good luck to her!

I had IRL friends at that event today too! Looked like fun.
I didn't know you were so close! It was fun, in a sense. I was just glad to finish.

Morning. Just relaxing on the couch about to watch the Seahawks game. Thinking about going to start dinner and have it slow cook all day. I'm making Gumbo.
Our plans for the day are, Football, laundry, pick up the house, hair cut for ds2, pick up Ds1 from the air port, and home.
Suppose I should pay the bills too. ...I hate bills!
I have to work on a paper due tomorrow afternoon. Grad school while pregnant is not fun.
I've noticed a lot of new people in the group lately. I think it's interesting that most of us have less than 10 weeks to go and new people are here?
I know, I've noticed too. I would assume most people would find the forum more at the beginning. Unless they have questions and google, and it brings them here... got me.

@MusicFanatic, have you picked up "eh" from having a Canadian H and living in Canada, or have you always said that?
My baby shower was yesterday and I'm exhausted. We were also hosting out of town family on DH's side. After my shower in the morning, DH's family gathered at our house for a mini shower for me and SIL who is a week behind me. While it was nice to see all of DH's aunts and uncles I am wiped out. Do I have to go to work tomorrow?

@Maebb- X_X since being here. I rarely used to say it. Sometimes I did because my husband does, but nothing like I do now. It's part of my stinkin' vocabulary. I have a nurse that says it ALL the time and it's rubbed off on me. Annoying, eh? 8-|

I switched out all DD's clothes. Packed away the 2t and brought out the 3t. Then I washed all the baby clothes. I can't believe my baby used to be that small! (
I've been delaying washing the baby clothes because (a) I want to re-line the drawers in the dresser; (b) I'm not sure if I need all the clothes we have; and (c) I thought I would wait until the beginning of January so that they are freshly washed. Now I'm rethinking that because I want to feel like I'm doing something.

We got some things accomplished today while dd was at mil's. Now relaxing and watching football. Well, dh is. I am laying down because I am beat. 5 days with kiddos until thanksgiving break! I have 2 days of conferences the 24/25 but no lesson plans.
Went out last night with the hubbs and my BFF for the first time in months. I didn't nap which made me crotchety, ended up babysitting everyone, and being the dd. Today I was the only one in the house who wasn't hungover! It's the little things!

So tired this morning, and so hungry. But I did get a date night with DH last night, which was much needed. We saw interstellar and it was great.
Time for a Starbucks run! There's a bagel with my name on it.
I watched Batman last night, circa 1989 while eating the Nutella stuffed French toast I made & I have 0 regrets.
Didn't get much sleep so I'm currently lounging around not motivated to do much of anything.
I hope everyone has a great day!!

My kids are making me crazy and they're probably going to have a snow day from school tomorrow or at least delay.
I don't feel like cooking dinner. The damn grocery store was ridiculous because we "might" get 1-4 inches of snow overnight.
I am however thinking about putting up my Christmas tree tonight.
