  My family is also spread apart - folks and 2 sisters in WI, brother in TN, 2 other sibs in NY - we don't even try for extended family as immediate family is already 22 people. Our current tradition is to get together every other holiday (one year thxgiving, next Xmas), but I've sat out on a number of them because it doesn't work for our family. Honestly I can't see myself doing air travel with 3 kids over the holidays much in the future (expense, hassle), so we're starting new traditions here. It would be nice to all be together, but sometimes you just need to evolve and start new ones.
