To answer your question in short. Yes ultra sounds can be wrong. My mom had an ultra sound of me with my legs spread wide open like a frog showing a penis. And I'm am not a boy. In fact the first words out of her mouth when the doctor said I was a girl were "Go back in. you dropped something!". However, that was 25 years ago and technology has made tremendous leaps and bounds. So I don't know if it is still possible but it sure was 25 years ago. I'm living proof.
Ok, I'll post something , no it's not accurate , majority of the time it is, my cousin was told she was having a girl, went out got lots of pink , starting getting girls names ready, she gave birth and woah! Her little girl had a penis , and she had nothing gender neutral , I of course thought this was funny .. She did not .
My friend was told it was definitely a boy at her 12 week ultrasound. At her 20 week ultrasound, they told her it was actually a girl. She then went on to give birth to a girl. So, yes it can happen with early ultrasounds although I would think that the further along in your pregnancy you are, the more likely the technicians guess is to be accurate
Re: Can an ultrasound be wrong?
Thanks for the laughs.
