Good luck with moving day, @PeaceofKia! I bet you're going to feel SO much better once you're in your bigger house, but also the house that you're going to actually have your new bigger family in -- how exciting!!
While I certainly love a good rant, it's also so nice to hear about sweet husbands, @lizzybean and especially@mamabisme -- I think bagels might be my favorite gesture of affection ever!
So today, I'm getting on a train (and a bus, groan) to San Diego -- I run conferences for work, and next week is our big one. It's the culmination of all the work of the last four months, so I'm excited/worried/hyped up. I'm also feeling Super Pregnant these days, so we'll see how it all goes, ha.
It's also an incredibly social event, when I get to see lots of people who I only see twice a year, so I'm anticipating a lot of pregnancy questions that I don't get normally (I work from home). My conference planner brain has me thinking that I should make up an FAQ or something?
My answers:

So, about 6 months along
None of your business
Girl
None of your business
Yes, our second daughter
Haha, yup, I guess we are in trouble? (ugh, I hate this one)
Well... none of your business?
Mmmm... thank you for your input, I'll take it under consideration. (I won't.)
Upside, I'm going to at least two super-fancy dinners, including one where everything on the (eleven-item!) tasting menu seems to be some crazy fresh seafood + citrus, which is right up my alley these days!
Edited to fix a tag.

My head hurts too much to reply to everyone individually, but I did read all of your posts and am sending you ~O) and >:D< where appropriate!
After his day on the couch moaning and groaning yesterday and last night DH woke up feeling slightly better today! I still have a headache but that's kind of been par for the course and I'm going to just deal with it. That means that we will actually get out the house this afternoon to head to Longwood gardens in PA and check out their chrysanthemum festival (we're big geeks, I know). Other than that, I'm working on a paper for my social deviance class about whether I support medically assisted suicide or not and had an interesting conversation with DH about it...apparently we have opposite opinions. It always surprises me when I have an opinion paper to write and tell him about it assuming he feels the same way only to learn that he doesn't.

@Sugahcookie01 1) thanks for addressing the name issue in the name thread. My only response to that was "that's dumb and you're dumb for doing it to your child" which would have ended poorly. 2) I hadn't even considered why a teacher would want to teach, mom and nurse at the same time. 3) I'm so glad that you're grandpa is doing well!
@Ducktale I have 3 or 4 outfits I bought because I was excited and a few 2T dresses my Aunt-in-law sent me. Everything else are neutral/boy clothes from DS.
@DBJackson25 It's not too early to get the seat and stroller. Just be sure to check the expiration date as previously mentioned.
My little sister (11) asked me to make it ok with my mom that she's dating a 13 year old boy in her class who has spent the last few months of school teasing her and hitting her. She's in 5th grade. She said he was funny and nice and she's hoping that she can make him smarter. I did as she asked and broke the news. It went over poorly and my sister has lost all phone and internet privileges. My morning has been nothing but drama filled fun.
In better news, my cousin-in-law has gone into inactive labor. I hope it doesn't last too long for her.
I woke up at 3 again last night-- ate and finally went back to bed at 4. At 5 I was woken to the worst charlie horse of my life. It hurt so bad I almost puked. I had planned no epi during labor but my 30 min of dizzying pain and almost passing out it hurt so bad (I get charlie horses but ever like this!!) I decided I probably can't do it without an epi.
I'm so nervous that my dress for the ball tonight isn't going to fit. I'm probably going to put it on when DH leaves to get his hair cut. FX it still fits!

@Alygohome - If It makes you feel any better, I would rather go through labor than have a charlie horse for a few hours, the pain is completely different. Charlie horses are pain for no reason, at least with labor you know you're working towards an end goal and you get breaks! Don't give up!
F15 Siggy Challenge: What You're Looking Forward to Most After Baby Arrives: BELLY SLEEPING!
Woke up around 2:30am due to painful leg cramps. Had a cramp the other night in one calf and l laid in pain trying to relax (hubby was not at home to help me out). Being pregnant doesn't make it easy to roll over or sit up and massage it out. Last night both calves knotted up into a ball...it was a bitch!! Lucky DH was there to help me. Trying to drink more water than I already am and eat some bananas.
Posting from the road and will go back and read rest of the spam. Austin, here we come! We're going to the zoo tomorrow and hopefully yummy eateries. Have a great Saturday, everyone!
So I thought getting up in the middle of the night to pee was going alright until this morning when I ran into the bathroom door and give myself nose bleed at 4am. Then I thought I'd look all cute in my skinny jeans and boots til I shove my fat foot into my boots and its so tight it takes 5 mins to rip them off. Sigh...tough morning
I've decided a full nights sleep is something I will never have again. After a few weeks of not being hungry, the last two days I've been starving. I even woke up in the night hungry. So weird. Went to the farmers market this morning then to a local bakery where me and my other pregnant friend bought cupcakes and these yummy maple pecan vegan baked donuts that may have just changed my life for the worse. Could be a bad new addiction.
I'm going to knit for a bit, pick up dry cleaning and alterations, then go to my friends baby shower.
We have our maternity photo shoot tomorrow and I'm actually really excited. A friend who is starting a new photography business is doing them for us for free which is great! Hopefully they turn out well. I still have no idea what to wear.
So I have a few events that really require dress wearing between now and when baby arrives. I've been ordering dresses on Motherhood and Old Navy for weeks, trying them on, then sadly returning them. I kept explaining to my husband I just have a "Weird Bump" and it looks super stange and lumpy in dresses. So yesterday we went to an actual maternity wear store to spend a little more but get one darn dress that I feel good in. Tried on four, same result. Lumpy bump. Finally the sales associate comes over and hands me pregnancy spanx and goes "Here. You need these, nobody has the cute round bump the ladies in the catalogs do unless they're wearing these."
And Voila! It was like a bra for my bump! It sat a couple inches higher and rounded out adorably. Unfortunately they were darn close to $40 just for the spanx but I will pass them off to another preggers friend and feel good about it someday.
Just thought I'd share because I've been feeling weird about not looking good in dresses and thought other first time moms may benefit from this epiphany.
I went to try on some new bras because my current ones fits so bad I was embarrassed for the sales woman to see me in it. Turns out they don't carry close to my size (. And she said more than likely I will really need to get a bra now and then more later because of it. (
I freaking hate my boobs, and bra shopping. Whaaa.
Love is like infinity: You can't have more or less infinity, and you can't compare two things to see if they're "equally infinite." Infinity just is, and that's the way I think love is, too.

I can't keep up with all my tags on mobile...but sounds like everyone is having a good day.
After fighting to get DD in clothes ( I was 5 minutes away from taking her outside naked so she would know how cold it was and want to get dressed)...we made it out of the house. I wasn't ready for cold weather this early in the season...so she had like 2 long sleeve shirts and no jacket. We fixed that and loaded up at Kohls...even sneaking in a Christmas gift! Lunch at Taco cabana and now I'm back home relaxing in the bathtub while she naps and DH watches football.
The fun part of my weekend...DD is going to grams and paw Paw's tonight! Yay! DH and I are going to go to IKEA to get a new dresser for the baby. I'll feel so much more prepared when I can wash baby clothes and have a place to put them. Then a nice date night some place. Yay!
Aw I LOVE your spam @kismetjess! And so jealous that she still takes naps so easily that you can lounge in the tub!
IKEA was an AWESOME success!! We bought Ella's big girl bed, mattress, matching dresser and side table, and duvet set. I love it. And it is being delivered tomorrow!
My back hurts so.much. now that I put Ella in her crib, handed DH the monitor, and am on my way to lie down (and hopefully nap) with a heating pad on my lower back. It's gonna be a painful next 3 months..
We're apparently going glider shopping today. Who knew? Not me. But the husband wants to, so … okay. Can't say I won't come back with other baby stuff in hand.
(In the meantime: oh, the agony of waiting for a cupcake that's been in the fridge to come to room temperature.)
Awaiting our bundle of cute chaos.
F15 January Siggy Challenge: What You're Looking Forward to Most after Baby Arrives
In the wee hours this morning I got the Charley horse in not one, but both legs at the same bloody time. DH helped stretch out one and found he was at a weird angle to get the left leg, but wouldn't reposition himself to help me. He even said "The angle is weird, you'd have to do it yourself". I cried immediately and said but I can't reach my foot. He did end up getting up to stretch my leg out for me. Still a bit upset that I keep losing precious sleep for toilet trips every night, and he wouldn't help me just once in a while.
LO's kicks are a lot stronger now and I can feel him easily. Sometimes I can feel him parking himself on one side of my belly and that area would feel firm. While I can't guess what that body part is, but I can't stop patting him thru the belly. Exactly 3 months to go today :x
@willvilljill have you heard anything about your gtt? I don't know if I should expect a call over the weekend or if it's not going to come till Monday. Don't want to get my hopes up only to get a call and have them dashed.

Every morning I have to remember to go slow and stretch those legs! Easily cramped. I only had one charley horse so far, but man those hurt.
I've eaten so many bananas I'm done with them!
So many people showed up and helped move today! Now to unpack and get at least the beds and some little stuff organized. Feels so good to be in our new home! Although... It's been hard with the blood draws today... All levels were elevated today, but what can I do when we need a full fridge of groceries? I'll be better after we can buy the food that I need.
F15 January Siggy Challenge: What I'm Looking Forward to After the Babies Arrive Bringing them both home...UPDATE...The girls are home!!! 1/7/15 after 20 days in the NICU!
Came home and crashed. I have a stomach virus which is what caused the constant vomiting. I was dehydrated from it and while hooked up to the monitors to check the baby had some contractions. They said it was brought on by the dehydration and to drink as much fluid as I can. So I'm home now after many labs and bags of fluid with a lovely prescription for nausea medication.
I love how if you puke you brains out people instantly want to assume its morning sickness.

Hi ladies! Sorry to hear so many of you are having leg cramps- that sounds horrible. I can't sleep anymore but at least I can be thankful that my legs aren't cramping (knock on wood).
@psychobutthead - feel better soon! I hope the fluids have helped.
I had an emotionally hard day. My older brother, who has never acknowledged my pregnancy- not even a congrats when we told him in person- emailed me to ask for a Best Buy gift card for Xmas. He didn't ask about the pregnancy or mention the baby at all. He did ask what I wanted for a present. I read the email to DH and he rolled his eyes at the rudeness and then suggested I just reply that my brother should pick something off our baby registry for our gift. So I did that.
This incident just made me feel bad about the general lack of support I've gotten from my family. I hope that my own family (DH and this LO) is much healthier than the dysfunctional family I grew up with.
Hmmm I know I wanted to comment others, but my brain is mush and can't remember who...
