Birth of sweet little son! (Very late!)

Hi ladies! It's been quite a while since I've posted - several months - because I was working long, back-to-back shifts in the ER and getting ready for this little guy! Anyway, I'm sorry. But I've still been keeping up with all your precious birth stories. Congratulations to you all! I've really enjoyed reading about all of them and seeing all the wonderful photos of your new teensy humans. I'm so happy to be part of this community, however behind-the-scenes it ends up being at times.

Here's my lil story - my water randomly broke at 4:30 on the morning of 10/19 (two days before my scheduled repeat c-section, aaah!) and I (showered! And took one last bump photo, lol, and) headed to the hospital. Our sweet William ("Will") James was born that morning via repeat c-section (and the spinal actually WORKED!), 7 lbs 13 oz, and wonderfully healthy. He looks just like me, which is funny, because DD looks just like DH! I'm so thankful he's out and healthy. He knew how to nurse right away (DD didn't, which was rough), so that's really a blessing, and he's a good sleeper. We couldn't be happier, and DD is SO in love with her baby brother! It's the cutest thing I've ever seen. My c-section recovery has been much easier than last time - I think, because it wasn't preceded by 30 hours of labor. But I still feel like I haven't slept in weeks. Comes with the territory, I guess!

Anyway, thanks to you all for being such a wonderful group of women. I hope I can find time not to be such a ghost around here! xo
