LO is over it!

I am at a loss! LO attends daycare, I also work there but not with her class. She is typically a very happy baby...until it is time to come home at night. Every night she screams for the entire 25 minute drive home. I don't know what to do?! She is not hungry, doesn't need a diaper change, naps well so she isn't tired. I was thinking maybe her car seat was uncomfortable or something but she doesn't mind it any other time...it is just that car ride after work. The only thing I can come up with is that LO is just over it and ready to be home. I end up in tears half the time because I just feel so helpless. I have tried the radio and singing/talking to her but nothing seems to help. Any ideas?

Same here on the way home from MILs. He doesn't like his car seat to begin with and he's usually close to bedtime at that point. He would love to go to bed at 6, but we try to get him to last till quarter to seven lately. What time do you guys head home? Maybe she's moving up her bedtime a bit?

Same here my LO hates car rides when it's dark. She screams on our way home. I'm think bru should have some kind of car night light thing I can hang from her car seat?

@ELC252011‌ This one is on K's "Christmas List". I've been debating between it and one that has a light so I can see her in the dark but this one seems like it would make rides more entertaining for her.

Hmm....It never occurred to me about being dark out. I get out of work at 5pm so it not pitch black out but it is definitely darker than it has been. I will have to look into some kind of light for the backseat.

C wad like this for a while. Rockabye baby CDs and Turning Pages (a song by Asleep at Last) were the only things that even remotely helps. We had to power through and eventually she grew out of it. Sorry you're going through it, it's hard.

DD just started screaming on the ride home when we did daylight savings time. She never screamed before. I think she gets scared because the car is so dark. Definitely need to look into that Brica mirror!

Mine would do the exact same thing! 40 minutes straight of screaming. I dreaded car rides....on a whim and out of pure desperation, I bought this. Lifechanger! Now it is more common for her to fall asleep in the car than cry

After one long car trip, I invested in this: https://www.walmart.com/ip/SafeFit-Musical-Nightlight-Mirror/36479141. It is so nice to be able to check on her when she's screaming. It has a soft light (not harsh, and it turns on gradually and off gradually in case she's asleep) and music that you can control from a remote that you put on your mirror like a garage door opener. I hope you figure something out soon!
