Hi girls! I've been lurking on here for a few weeks now, so I thought it was about that time to introduce myself! I am 29 years old, and live in Central Florida. I just got married last month on October 4th! We had a 1950's inspired retro wedding, and it was the bee's knees. My DH is 31 years old, and neither of us have any children. He was ready to have a kid yesterday, though.

Did any of you start TTC right after you got married? My DH is afraid that he is getting too old, thus the reason why he is wanting to start trying now. I am finishing up my BCP for this month, and then we will start trying in the next few months. I mainly just want to have fun, and don't want to get stressed out about the process. I just want to take it one day at a time and see what happens. We aren't planning on telling family members that we are TTC, as I don't want it to be the topic of discussion every time I see someone. I just want it to be a surprise for everyone when we actually do conceive.
To prepare, I started taking pre-natal vitamins (Healthy Mama brand... any of you take it? It's two separate supplements) and downloaded the FF app. I also read the newbie blog, and I think I am finally getting the hang of things. I even made a signature! I hope it works! Haha!
A little about me: I love anything 1950's related... music, clothes, movies.. you name it. My favorite TV Shows are Mad Men, Parks and Recreation (a part of my wedding vows was lifted from Leslie Knope's!), Girls, and Jeopardy (my DH and I watch it every night... and I dominate the game EVERY NIGHT). My favorite movies are Say Anything, It's a Wonderful Life, Rushmore, Swingers, and Back to the Future. My favorite bands/singers are Lucero, The National, The Hold Steady, Ryan Adams, and Otis Redding. Since my wedding, I started a side, after work job as an event planner! I have 3 weddings set up, and I'm pretty psyched. I love organization, making lists, good grammar, baking (desserts ONLY), roller skating (I used to do roller derby), and cats (I have 2 - a silver Tabby named Memphis, and a Ragdoll / Siamese named Sookie).
ANYWHO. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and reading all of your helpful advice!
