Every single app and internet calculator says i am just about 7 weeks but according to my last doctors visit i am 8 weeks today. Lmp 9-24-14. Expected due date 7-1-15.
Trust me when I say having a bigger/older baby than you thought is way better than having a smaller/younger baby than you thought (which could be indicative of a problem). Congrats on your big healthy baby!!
This signature is all for YOU. I'm on mobile and can't see crap.
I think it all depends on the length of your cycle! Make sure you change the length of ur cycle on websites, apps, etc. because if you have 32-35 day cycles vs. 26-28 days it can adjust your due date a whole week.
It just depends on when you ovulated during your cycle. Your doctor was probably calculating based on your lmp and the fact that in "typical" cycles you ovulate on day 14. I'm in the same boat, according to my lmp (9/21) I would be almost 8w, but since I used OPKs and BBT I know that I ovulated a week late which puts me at actually only being 6w5d. Once you get your US they will be able to more accurately calculate your due date.
If you figure from my last period I am 3 weeks, 4 days. If you figure from when I ovulated I am around 2 weeks. I am going to see what my midwife says when I see her. I ovulated early, around CD 10

LMP assumes ovulation on CD 14. If you actually ovulated 4 days earlier on CD 10, you should be 4 days further along than the LMP date.
Lol if we went by my LMP I would've been due early June as my last period was Aug 29. I have pcos and didn't ovulate until day 47 or something like that. Thankfully I BBT so I knew what I a actually was, but my dr still insisted in going by LMP until he did an US yesterday, at which time he realized I was only 6w5d

----------------------- Well then that is good to know. I won't worry about the fact that my midwife appointment is a bit early then

Typically, the first two weeks before your ovulation are included in the gestational age (regardless of whether you O'd early or late). So by the time you ovulate/conceive, you're already at the 2 week mark. So at 1 week after ovulation, you're actually considered 3w along. Fetal age is the age of the fetus since conception. So much math! Hope that makes sense though.
It does. So my next question would be I used one of the Clear Blue digital tests and it said "1-2 weeks" as of 3 days ago. Am I to assume that those estimates aren't very accurate?

No. They're accurate. In that they detect pregnancy. However that 1-2 weeks means weeks after conception, when it should really read 3-4 weeks which is actually how far along you are at that point.
---------------------------- This is super helpful Thanks
Don't stress, just go with your doc. I don't remember the first day of my LMP. I just remember the day I stopped was 9/23. My doctor estimated I was around 6 weeks. Dating ultrasound confirmed pregnancy but only measured 5w2d with EDD 07/04/2015. So of course I panic and think something's wrong. Went back this week and measured 6 weeks 1 day with a very healthy heartbeat and EDD changed to 07/07/2015. Sometimes your bod just does things late!

Daddy is excited but hoping and wishing for a Baby Boy!
Re: how pregnant are you
I go by my ovulation date, not my LMP. I know my doctor will initially go by my LMP until I get my dating ultrasound.
BFP #2 - 3/2/13 * DS1 - BORN ON EDD - 11/13/13
BFP #3 - 11/7/14 * DS2 - BORN ON EDD - 07/21/15
Thank you for the advice!!
