Bad night here. E had a number of wake ups and one vomit from. 7-10 and then up at 5. Yippee
I thought that we had fixed my E's sleeplessness with discovering her ear infection last week. But she was up at 4 am yesterday and 12:30 am last night. DH bought her into bed with us and she eventually fell back asleep but only after playing with my hair and singing for about an hour. It was ridiculously cute but still, I kept thinking that I need that book - 'Go the F'ck to Sleep.'
Here's ~O) to all the tired mamas.
G had a few wake up and he tried to be up for the day at 445. I-) I'm rocking him now so I can get ready for work.
When I walked out to the kitchen, I found a container from Don's work. He'll bring leftovers home sometimes. Man, I am so excited to eat one of these tonight =P~ They smell of peanut butter
I am so glad that tomorrow is Friday. I just need to make it through one more day at work.
We had a staff meeting at work last night which was tame compared to what I was assuming it would be. Then most of us went out for drinks and pizza. It was a blast! I love my co-workers and it was nice to just let loose and have some laughs.
I am so excited for this weekend! I am header to Toronto for a huge book fair! :-B
I feel victorious this morning. I was showered, with hair dried, make up on, a kid fed and dressed and out the door by 6:40 with absolutely no tears. Usually the mornings that I shower, we leave later and there are tears, because OMG, I leave my kid alone for 5 minutes to dry my hair and he thinks the world is ending. Or I bring him into the bathroom and he cries because I won't give him a bath. Or he cries because getting dressed is miserable . Or because the dog took the food that Ben gave him. Or he can't figure out how to hold 5 balls in his hand with his milk in his other. This morning, though, no tears!
And we got his school pics yesterday. He kind of looks like he's going to burst into tears.

@fabk good for you for your morning walk! I hate that it's so cold here and can't imagine going out in these temps. I miss my outdoor morning walks.
DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome.
131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
Extra thanks and hugs to everyone for all the support last night. Amazing how much it can mean from some Internet "strangers".

Haddock and I are headed out to do errands when they get here and hopefully doing a Costco run, but Costco is 40 minutes away and just ugh... it seems so far!

I'm working with a new team today, out of a different agency. I was all snippy with DH because I though I was running late. Turns out the meeting starts at 9:30 not 8:30 #-o
MIL Gem: "my coworkers three year old is reading! What kind of life will Abby have if she's not PT AND Reading as soon as possible? How can we face relatives? Why aren't you more worried about this?"
All to H over FaceTime last night while I had a long bath! lol he just told her "one crisis at a time mom".
If she had stopped blathering long enough we could have told her that Abby has gone two nights now in undies & completely dry. We are working on day time & pooping.
So we are almost there! Stick that in your pipe & smoke it MIL!

@PrimRoseMama yay for Abby! I still wonder why your H stills does facetime with your MIL... I can't believe she is such a bitch all the time, she doesn't deserve to be a grandma and she doesn't deserve to know how amazingly well Abby is doing.. f her!
I'm at playgroup but the other mamas are all running around... LO seems to be the quiet one... I guess the 2 hour nap wasn't enough and he is still tired?

Keep your fingers crossed that our pipes don't burst. It dropped down to -10 here last night and some of our pipes froze. Luckily, it's only the pipes in our master bathroom and LO's bathroom. Everything else works. But now it's a waiting game for them to either thaw or burst, and burst pipes would be no bueno. :-SS The way the pipes in our house were laid out makes those 2 bathrooms very susceptible to frozen pipes. So we always run into this issue when it gets really cold outside. It's supposed to be bitterly cold for another week, and H is supposed to go out of town for 8 days this weekend so I really, really hope something doesn't happen while he's away!
