Well, I'll try mine on for size...I hate when bumpies are like "I never go to TB anymore , anyway" with a too busy attitude and a more than likely hair flip. Um, because you're so cool now? TB is where you met all these women who are now on FB and who are having GTG's with you. Don't bite the hand that feeds you.
Clearly, we are all busy now...but the attitude that one is now too cool for TB annoys me.
My UO - it's ok if people don't like each other. This isn't freaking nursery school.
UO #2 - blocking people is lame. What are you going to do? Go thru life pretending you don't see people who disagree with you? Learn to deal.
AND, ftr, some of you who suddenly decided to block everyone? Loved ya right up until then.
I disagree with the blocking part. I've never blocked any bumpies, but I have blocked other people, like my brother. If you just don't like them, then yeah, that is dumb. But I think there are certainly circumstances where it is warranted - if they are harassing you for example. (I am speaking in general terms here, not specific ones, so please don't start a giant war because of this statement!) I don't think it is wrong to try and remove toxic people from your life vs. just putting up with it.
I deft agree in cases of harassment. No worries.
Lately tho? Blocking someone when you've never had anything but friendship simply because your other friends are fighting with their other friends? That's lame. And hurtful. Talk about starting drama
I wish I would get called for jury duty. It seems so interesting to me. I've only been called in once and I never even got to the selection room.
I loved Jury duty as well, I ended having to go pretty much every Thursday for 2 months. There was one case of a chain of robberies during the winter. The guy was so dumb as to ride a bike so all they did was follow the bike tracks back to his house and arrested him. Anyways what I getting at was there was always atleast three people who where like "well I don't think it was him, maybe etc." maybe nothing. We have all the evidence he's guilty! Couldn't even stand those people ~X(
UO
I love blocking. As long as it's for the right reasons. I blocked my ex and all his friends. Because they are all dick heads.
I'm not a fan of red wine.
This may be unpopular for some. I follow the old adage that your child should be dressed in the same style (warmth wise) as you, plus one thin layer.
WHY would a parent willingly dress a child in shorts and a tee while they're in pants and a sweater? I know that children can be picky about clothes but that's letting it slide too much.
I miss red wine. White wine doesn't give me heartburn, it just isn't as good. I also think a lot of this drama is ridiculous. I could have used the "hide" feature on fb when I was spiraling after my mc (couldn't figure out how to do it) @5speckledfrogs , who on the hell is dressing their kid in shorts and a t-shirt?!? (Besides @Amjoy25 ; 80 degree high in AZ today...)

I agree it's okay for people to not like each other, but would it be too much to ask for people to at least maintain respect for each other?
Sometimes, people say things or behave in ways that make you lose your respect. But I agree that my course of action is usually just to ignore them entirely, if possible.
@baconface , good news! That is a dry red wine! I will have to try it in several months if I can find it. In the meantime, may I suggest 7 Deadly Zins? It is also a dry (not too dry) red wine, and it reminds me of Christmas, so it would be a good cold weather wine. It is my all time favorite, and I have A LOT of experience drinking wine
@baconface The food at my hospital was also very good! I was thrilled, once they let me have something more than clear food. #stupidcsection
I've only blocked two people on FB - some total stranger who kept spamming me with friend requests (we had no mutual friends and I have no idea who it was), and my on-again/off-again BFF who was acting verbally abusive towards me when she wasn't being passive aggressive in FB statuses about me. I didn't want to deal with what ish would happen by defriending her, so I just hid her.
Of course, I think of a semi-decent UO after hitting submit.
I hate antibacterial wipes. I hate the way they smell. I hate that they leave surfaces slightly damp with antibacterial chemical goop.....I may have spent most of the last week traveling with my germaphobic mother in law, who wiped down every surface DS was about to come into contact with.
i knew your could ignore ppl, i just learned you cuold block...and yikes the power of the block!
oh hum. i dont have an UO that doesnt directly relate to the drama going on. so i supposed i shall keep it to myself bc i am tired of it too.
i will say about friends though and backing them up etc. @amjoy25 is obvi my face licker bff (i lick her face). we disagree on certain things like mint and chocolate. some big things too like religion. and i MAINTAIN THAT CHOCOLATE AND MINT IS A FINE COMBO!!!! but even if i dont necessarily agree iwth what she said or how she said it (this current drama 100% behind every thing she said). if someone is being mean to her i will back her until the cows come home. same goes with all my friends. i am very loyal. maybe a little too loyal to a fault. my brain can't handle being switzerland when friends are involved #typicalthirdchild. so i dont think that is mindless i think that is protective. again there are flaws and faults to that. BUT I MUST GIVE MY OPINION ON EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!
MINT AND CHOCOLATE IS THE WORST! #worsethankurd #wellmaybenot
Oh! I have a may or may not be uo: Christmas season is my favorite time of the year. I love everything (EVERYTHING) about it. (Helps that my birthday is smack dab in the middle of it). That being said, I refuse to start celebrating until Dec 1st (or at the very earliest until after thanksgiving).
This may not be much of a UO considering technology these days but I don't like to talk on the phone. I'd rather text or email it seems way more mysterious!
I think daycare should discount your tuition every time your kid gets hurt in their care! >:o
What kind of hurt are we talking?
Last time she bumped her head on a toy and bruised her forehead. This time they were sitting outside on a step and she tipped over and scraped her nose and forehead.
I'm only kidding. I know these things happen. I'm just going to have to bubble wrap her going forward.
I just got my hair done yesterday, so my UO related to that is that I always look forward to washing and styling my hair myself after I get it done. I hate how it looks right after. It always still has a chemical smell to it, and they flatten it to much with blow drying and straightening. I don't like it.

IT'S NOT CHRISTMAS YET, PEOPLE!
YES! Dear neighbors, that's great that you already paid someone to put up your lights this year. But why must you turn them on? I didn't realize Christmas lights couldn't be turned off once they were installed. </sarcasm>
Seriously, there are about 5 houses in my neighborhood that have had their Christmas lights on at least a week.

I'm going to try to be really unpopular today.
UO #1
I think the concept of using antibacterial soaps, handwipes, etc is flawed. If you need to kill the germs, you need to go to a sink, wet your hands and forearms, scrub them with soap for a few minutes, then rinse--all preferably in hot water. If you don't need to kill the germs, then why are you putting tiny amounts of antibiotics into the environment that may have the possibility of creating antibiotic resistant bacteria?
UO #2
The inevitable rebuttal "but I'm somewhere without a sink" leads to my 2d UO: some degree of immune stimulation is a good thing. Although to my knowledge it hasn't been proven, I suspect that a lack of natural immune stimulation encourages the immune system to find something innocuous to attack, creating allergies.

Round brush sister. It'll change your life.
Very true! I got one stuck in my hair 1 time (had to be cut out) and I'm scared of ever using one again. @Amjoy25 I know not what you meant but it works!
This is more of a confession. I am major bummed about the group splitting drama... Not only am I super bummed, but I can't keep up with who did what to whom, who is leaving, or how many groups there are now. It is to much for me to keep up with! I was in what I though was the only FB group, now I am so freaking lost I am about to throw inthe towel. Tax law I can keep straight, but this shit is making my head spin!

LOL. Don't do it yourself! That's dangerous! Have your hair dresser do it...best decision I ever made.

Don't try to figure it out. Just stay where you are and don't get sucked into any "new and improved" groups. That's my advice.
It is snowing like crazy outside right now, and I think it is fantastic! There is something totally magical about snow. I'm going to go snuggle up in a blanket and read a book now thank you very much.
This is prob a FFFC but I'm going tanning tonight. I never go but I need to like 4x before my wedding. I need to look hawt. If it snows I do not want to match it.
