I have an awesome recipe for homemade that takes less than 5 min if anyone wants it. Its from my grandma if that gives any clout. You can make it in a food processor. You do still have to roll it out though.
That said, I almost always use homemade. Occasionally I will use pre-made for a potpie, but never a dessert pie. To me it tastes too salty for desserts.

I rarely make homemade pies. If I do, a lot of times I'll use frozen crusts (especially for pumpkin pie). Pot Pies, I usually use the refrigerated dough. I have made crusts from scratch before, but I don't really have a good setup for rolling things out, so I usually avoid it if I can (even though it is so delicious!)
Maybe when I get my kitchen remodeled (haha), I will get some solid-surface counter tops (ours are currently textured and a PITA to clean), and THEN I will make all my crusts from scratch!

I always make homemade because growing up we made about a dozen pies every thanksgiving. Tangent: for my wedding I made over 200 mini pies from scratch. It was very time consuming (2 days before my wedding I was up until 1 am) but very memorable.
