LO fell asleep with it onlast night and I was freaked out about it all night even though it doesn't get knotted. I wasn't gonna wake him up. He was fine and I put him to bed with it on tonight. On another note, so many people have looked at me very strangely when I told them what it is and that it has been the only thing that has helped with his teething. They think I'm crazy.
@Mmc0323 your pic in the gtky thread of LO wearing it made me think of this.
Haha yea my BFF got one for her son and swears by it so I figured why not. Plus it's kind of cute....although I can see strangers being like "um..."
The store clerk informed us it doesn't work if you take it off a bunch (not sure why...) so suggested putting on his ankle for naps, but it kind of falls off.
DD#2 wears hers all the times: bed, naps and bath. If made well they should have a pressure release clasp (if yanked on it just comes apart) and each bead should be individually knotted. I find it does help with drooling, we no longer use bibs. She stays pretty dry. Wish I had bought one with dd#1, she was a drool machine (easily a dozen bibs a day).
She has had a rash for over a month it goes n comes back. The cream the dr gave us bleached her skin and it never has time to heal because we cant keep her dry.
@Missykisses85 Try an amber and Hazelwood necklace. Hazelwood is really good for helping rashes, you will have to replace the necklace every 3 months though.
we have one. DD wears it for naps & bedtime too. Although believe me in the beginning I was totally freaked out by the idea. But like a PP mentioned, they are not effective if taken off a lot, I was told it's because it takes 3 hours of wearing it for the necklace to warm to the right temperature where it can be effective. I tried putting it on her ankle once but I felt bad because it made little indentations, & it seemed like it would be uncomfortable, so I took it off. I finally did some research & found, like another PP mentioned, that heaven forbid should the necklace get caught on something, it should come apart immediately, so that made me finally relax enough to let her wear it to bed. No issues here! No idea how much or if it helps though, since she is always wearing it, lol.
Yea i have them as soon as the neck gets wet it starts to irritate her skin and the actual bib part just cant handle the volume of liquid she puts out.
DCF will not allow our daycare to permit babies having anything like that on their necks (including paci straps) so most of the time LOs necklace is double wrapped around her ankle, secured with a sock. That is how we do it for bed as well. Once we hit the summer, it will be on her neck aside from baths and ankle at night. DH thinks its crap in the first place and there's no way he'd be okay with it on her neck at night (he had a minor heart attack when he checked on her before we went to bed the other night and her face was "in the mattress", even though it was turned slightly and her mouth and nose were turned). As far as drool, she used to be awful, where we always needed a bib. I'm not sure if its the teething calming down a bit, or if its the necklace, but she doesn't drool enough to need a bib anymore.
LO wears hers around her neck at all times. I never take it off of her. I don't really know if its helping with teething because she has been wearing it since long before teething started. Drool wise it has helped a ton.
We use a hazelwood one. I think it works. My mom thinks I'm crazy and makes me explain it to everyone we see. But the one night I took it off at midnight because he had a doc appt the next day and I didn't want to get shit and I also didn't want to forget about it. He fussed and cried from midnight to 6am. I put it back on at 6am and he fell asleep. So I think it works... It was weird lol

Picture not swallowing any spit all day
