My whine - I was cleaning up toys and whacked my forehead on the corner of the kitchen island. Ten minutes later, I'm lying down on the nursery floor next to the gherkin while she plays, and she takes a wooden block and smashes it into the same spot I just hit. I put her to bed five minutes earlier than usual so I can have wine and sulk in peace.
I wish we could mobilize a mommy break for you. One of us rock the newb, one rock the toddler, and you can get a shower. But since we can't, here's a cute fluffy hug:
Today was rough. I had the day off and G was crazy with emotions. The last 2 hours were really bad and I called my dax just to hear someone talking instead of screaming and yelling at me. Just rocked G to sleep......and now I don't want to put him in his crib! He's just so beautiful :x and I feel crazy 8-}

I called my mom and she brought my dad over. Mom put Charlie to bed and my dad is rocking the baby. I'm about to get in the shower. I've never been so glad they live 3 miles away.

Aw, that's great that they could help. Yeah for a shower, too.
@missymr Yours is frozen obsessed? Mine is having an intense love affair with Elmo. We have an Elmo book with huggable arms and he walks around hugging it.
Really busy with work and feeling a cold coming on so I have been falling behind here but think of you all. :-h
@clyde013 and @theuntaggablek What a long day! 6:30-8:15 commute/setup, 8:30-5:00 solo presentation, 5:00-6:45 tear down/drive home. I had 42 participants and rocked the presentation as much as I could rock 8 hours on diagnostic manual changes. Participants were WEIRD. At one point, a participant got up and stood behind me but in front of the projector. Same participant argued passionately that "metaphysical and metaphorical" injuries and death should qualify for PTSD diagnosis. A man who had random contributions all day took a phone call for 3 minutes in which we all got to hear about his hearing problems. And, the facilitator gave a talk about quality participation and the fact that this was her 46th conference and she took it so seriously that at she did not seek medical treatment after a head injury last night. Then she fell asleep standing up. Also, her makeup was around her mouth and eyelids, but not on them. At all.
Jadzias cold has decided to bring is friend croup along now. My poor pumpkin. She sounds terrible but the urgent care doc insisted her lungs sounded good and she had a good result on the pulse ox? Machine. It's been 8 days...I just want her to feel better not worse.
I don't know how those of you with Littles that have been sick a lot do it. I feel so bad for her and hate feeling like there is nothing I can do to help.
My all-nighter seems to be dedicated to the glider instead of the desk. Poor buddy can't breathe DH tried but L won't even let him pick him up.
Oh my word, @casey78. You are my hero. I hope your belly is full of wine and ice cream and your head full of sleep.

@gutsymama I tried to post this last night but then we had some bedtime chaos... it sounds so exciting that you will be having your dissertation so soon I really hope you will manage, your advisor sounds like an interesting person to work with which I think is the main point of writing a thesis. Also, brown sugar rosemary latte =P~

Hugs to all the sick babies, moms and moms of moms ( @econmama ).
I've never been so glad they live 3 miles away.
But that turned into naptime all over again with all 3 of us crying, so that's when I called my mom.
@mrshudson618 Glad you got some help--you are doing great work and I hope you know it.
@econmama Thinking of you and your mom.
@casey78 How did it go?
@clyde013 sorry about the bump to the head.
